#51 Posted: 1/22/2013 12:09:37 AM Hey, He's just proving there is not an IQ test to become a prestigious covers linesmen. Or, at least a sanity test, because saying someone doesn't deserve respect that has won more playoff games than any other qb in the history of the NFL proves that his stance is ignorant at at best. He's also got 15 td's and 2 ints in his last 7 playoff games with a qb rating around 100.
He's definitely not an elite qb , but to say he doesn't deserve credit or respect is probably one of the dumbest things I've read in the 5 years I've been on covers.

He has one of the best lines in the league, awesome receivers and a defense that bails his butt out year after year.
His play today was better than his average flop in a big game, but I expect much more out of him given the tremendous talent he has around him.
Name another team with the receivers AND line AND defense that he has?
lmao. yeah, lee evans came up huge for him last yr. oh wait he should have won that one too. |

You can't be serious
I would take Johnny Manziel over Rivers |

Look at his QB stats over his career..the guy is just average.
Now average would be fine if he was on an average team, but this team is very good from most every standpoint, he really is the biggest weakness on the team in my view.
You list a bunch of stats that reflect the quality of the TEAM..so starts in seasons means he isnt being sacked often and isnt being put on his rear end much..that is because of the line quality and how the defense dominates other teams..
To me the TEAM is the reason for every single stat you listed, playoff wins, his starting stats..those are not a reflection of HIS qualities.
Look up this instead-
http://www.nfl.com/player/joeflacco/382/careerstats
His best year was a 93 rating..which is horrid given the team he is on and the weapons he has.
Flacco wouldnt be starting on many teams in this league..he should consider himself fortunate that Baltimore puts up with him year in and out.
Credit the team for the results, not Flacco.
Yea Flacco is an underachiever 126 post season passes without an interception guess that was his receivers |

#61 Posted: 2/5/2013 8:04:38 AM Flacco's performance this postseason was historical, his 11 TD's and 0 int can only be equaled, not beaten by any player in history, and that was by the great Joe Montana who stands as the greatest SB QB ever.
For anyone to suggest Flacco's run was not impressive is ignorant to the facts and history......................................... |
