sorry for the noob question, but can someone break this down for me

looking at the Monday Night Football game as a example.

Hello,

The 370 equals the total amount of yards for the Houston offence against the Jets Defence.

5.4 is average amount of yards per play for houston against the Jets defence.

105 & 96 would equal the L Avg compares the team offense or defense against the league average assuming it is a base level of 100%


The corresponding team (NY Jets) totals against the Houston defence appears on the right hand side.

got it...thanks for the explanation.

whats the difference between the last 3 tab....and the last 3 home/away tab...

The "Last 3" tab focuses on the last three games for each team.  The "Last 3 Home/Away" tab focuses on the last three home games for the listed home team and the last three road games for the listed road team.
