#7610 Posted: 3/15/2012 4:17:44 AM Cal completely embarrassed themselves tonight and the final score is the most misleading final score you will ever see in your life. Cal didn't even belong in the same state USF and I'm a Cal fan. The Pac 12 should be ashamed of themselves how far down they come in Basketball. Their only representative no is Colorado. Colorado a new member to the Pac 12 and they're not good either. What a shame. The entire Pac 12 needs to reassess their basketball recruiting. People here in Oregon are basketball crazy but most of the top talent here leaves the state to go to College. Kevin Love, the Singler brothers and quite a few others leave Oregon. Southern Cal is a haven for basketball talent on the same par as New York, Florida and the upper Midwest. How that area is losing to other schools is beyond me. UCLA with it's rich tradition has an enabler as a Coach. Their solution give him another year. Wow! Are you kidding? I would have fired that chump on the spot after hearing the stories of no discipline and ignoring obvious problems with players. Arizona hasn't been the same since Lute Olsen retired. The Seattle area is another golden nugget for basketball. So many players have come out of Seattle it's not even funny. My point is how come the West Coast has become the laughing stock of the Basketball world. The only schools now worth a dam are Gonzaga which is in Spokane and St. Mary's just outside of Oakland. Oakland has a rich history of athletes from all sports coming out of there. Basketball is no different. Just to name a few. Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, Bill Russell, Paul Pierce, Isiah Rider and others come from Oaktown. It just saddens me that the West Coast has become the Siberia of basketball despite the rich tradition and the talent that is grown here only to be shipped back East where the West Coast is depleted. |

#7611 Posted: 3/15/2012 4:23:17 AM The Brackets are all set and it's time to start the Madness. I think this is every gambler's favorite time of year. I know the Casinos love the NCAA tournament. Some Casinos make more money on the NCAA tournament than the Super Bowl. Overall the Super Bowl still is #1 but from what I have read the Madness is catching the Super Bowl in dollar volume especially this first weekend. It's really Christmas for the Casinos because unlike the Super Bowl (one day) the Madness goes on for a 3 weeks and if there's some Cinderella teams left the money keeps flowing. Good Luck to everyone and let's make some money! |

#7614 Posted: 3/15/2012 2:35:16 PM The MADNESS is HERE!
Vanderbilt -5 is my play of the day and Survivor pick. Harvard "ain't no" Kentucky! Not even close! A double digit win is likely for the 'Dores. Riders on the Storm! A fair wind is blowing for the Commodores this afternoon and there should be smooth sailing for them in these troubled waters of Madness.
I have been getting killed on my picks this month, so be afraid. Be very afraid!
VANDY -5
Good luck to the Club on your March Madness Adventures!

#7623 Posted: 3/16/2012 2:58:26 PM Bye-Bye Vermont!
Congrats on a great season!
Thanks for playing...
RIP
UNC TARHEELS -15.5 or whatever and a half!
The line movement is crazy for this game! It's as if Vegas knows that the Heels will rout the Catamounts and that they also know that they cannot set this spread high enough, so they are just trying to create this atmosphere of a possible close game and moving the line towards Vermont. I'm not buying into this. Vegas dog has no bite! I believe the Heels will win by a minimum of 20 points.
Good luck to all today.
PS- LMAO at Creighton daring Bama to shoot it from range. ROLL TIDE ROLL!

I believed, baby; I believed. lol Congrats to Alabama on a successful season. Coach Grant has the team headed in a positive direction. I am not at all shocked to see them lose, but I expected them to win. I cannot help wondering what the result may have ben if 2nd leading scorer Tony Mitchell were not dismissed for his boneheaded behavior. I believe the Tide would have advanced, but inevitably would have been picked apart by the Tar Heels.
[uses best Denny Green voice] - "THE BLUEJAYS ARE WHAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! THEY'RE WHAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE! NOW IF YOU WANT TO CROWN THEM, THEN CROWN THEIR behind! BUT THEY ARE WHO WE THEY WERE AND WE LET 'EM OFF THE HOOK" ROLL TIDE ROLL!
The announcers and officials got what they wanted.Congrats to the Bluejays of Creighton. It was clear that Creighton and Doug McDermott were the media's little darlings. It was disappointing to see Bama making the better plays in the first half anchored by the lights out three point shooting of Trevor Lacey and yet the highlights they replayed when they went to the commercial breaks were all Creighton and the ordinary plays of Doug McDermott. It would have been an honor and a shock for Alabama to beat such a great "basketball" school. Many, I'm sure, wonder how Bama even got in the Tournament to begin with, since so many "deserving" schools were excluded.
It is for the best, at any rate, because the Tarheels are going to destroy Creighton just the same as they would have destroyed the Tide. Bama will be spared from that humiliation. The McDermott's will have their hands full, to be sure. Cannon fodder is what they will be.
Oh well, enough with the ranting! On to my Streak Survivor game! Go Heels!
PS- LMAO at the destruction of the Virginia Cavaliers at the hands of the Florida Gators! I saw that one coming! All I had heard about was the suffocating defense of Virginia.
71 -45 CHOMP!
