I had a 4 team parlay w/ 3 cashing.....needed Drake/Xavier u135 for a nice pay.  Score 53-48 with 5:22 left.  or 2.9 points per minute.  They score 8 pts. / minute rest of game including a whopping 21 points scored in last 1:04 of game.  Damn.  Oh well.  Just a 4 teamer that I could've middled with 2nd half under (I did).....helps to not be at work to make needed adjustments.  Overall didn't lose a cent!  Could've cashed big though

UCF yesterday, worst bad beat in a long time.  needed -5.5 they are up 6 with 4 seconds to go and have the ball inbounding in the front court.  ODU is trying to foul but UCF throws it all the way to the backcourt where it is stolen and ODU makes a layup at the buzzer.  Loser.

MSU kid pretending to dribble it out up 9 v BGSU then cuts to the hoop with :03 left for the "meaningless" layup.  Wtf was the point of that?  Kid knew the #, delivered the push for those laying 11.  Dirty.

Had Texas +10.5 at MSU on Saturday.  Up 33-28 at half.

Completely collapse down the stretch of the second half, highlighted by a 90% free throw shooter missing both free throws after MSU's big man got a technical.

Down 9 with :13 left, miss a bunny layup, and fouled a 90% free throw shooter with :03 left and the game is clearly over.  Appling buries both free throws, and Texas doesn't attempt a shot.

Lose by 11.

Last week 1 beat turned the entire profit picture around! I had
Vandy and Baylor in the bank. 3 teams straight, parlayed and round robin for 500 per bet. So I am up 1k with a straight play for another 500 a 500 parlay for 1200 more and the RR for another 3600. I am looking at a 6K plus night and my final game is Utah laying 61/2 to Cal St No.R  and I am sitting up at half by 21!!!!!!!!! I counted my $$$ with all my plays and then I heard Yogi whisper in my ear it ain't over til its over! I kept  checking the score in the 2nd half and the lead was down to 17 form 47-26 at the break then 13 then 9 and Utah was NOT scoring at all just Cal. St. Down to 6 then 1 then actually losing by 3  then 6. I have never seen a team at HOME yet, collapse like this . I made zip for the nite losing the straight play -550, the parlay -500 and the RR paid squat compared to my 6K+ nite that was lined up at the half. F...in Yogi

Yesterday (Sat) So. Fla was leading by 7 with six  seconds and I had them -4.5.  So they let the player from George Mason drive the lane for a lay up with one second to go, fine they win by five 61-56.  OH No No No NO they decide to foul the  Mason player and of course he makes the FT with one second on the clock.  FINAL 61-57.........

Had clippers -3 2h yesterday until the refs decided to give griffin a foul for getting smashed in the face and then Chris Paul decides to slug his way up the court and get called for an 8 second violation in turn making me lose by a point.

Georgia Tech +15.5 vs. Duke.  Led at halftime and within the number the entire game....down 12 w/ 30 seconds left and inexplicably fouls twice to lose by 16.

Thursday duke and ga tech with 16 seconds left in game duke is up 71 to 57 under the number 128.5 no reason to score and either duke got fouled or some player who don't play much for duke hit a shot to go over the number and ends out at 130

worst bad beat in a long time, Louisville pretty much winning by 6 or more the entire game and then up by 6 with 4 seconds left and Pitt hits a VERY long range 3 at the buzzer to blow the cover.

I missed an 8-teamer last Sunday because of Rider losing at home to Manhattan that was worth $700.  Rider had already beaten them... they were -4.5 but I had them ML.  Next day, my bank account is at $-80.  I scrounged up some money to bring it above zero,  I took my last $10 on Tuesday to try to win something.  I did a 12-team parlay, $10 to win $21,000.
These were my picks 1/29:
Cavs +1.5
Cavs Under 202.5
Bucks +1.5
Mavs +3.5
Hornets +7.5
Vandy +8.5
NC St +4.5
Ohio St -5.5
UNC -4.5
Kentucky +3.5
Nebraska +18.5
Nevada +13.5

The total on the GS/Cavs game was 203 and Minnesota beat Nebraska by 19.  So two 1/2 pt losses and of course GS beat the Cavs.  GS was on the road for several straight games and benched four starters.  Cavs still got killed.

Put together by best effort on 1/30 to try to recover... $70 to win $1700 on another 8-teamer (buying pts and mixed ML):
Towson +3.5
West Mich ML -150
Air Force ML -360
Detroit ML -150
Villanova +10
Miami-FL ML -550
Texas A&M ML -185
Kent St ML -270

The first seven won, and I also think they beat the spread even though I had bought points.  But Kent St came out soft against Northern Illinois, a team that scored 4 points in the 1st half of their last game and 25 pts total.  In other words, here's a decent team playing one of the worst in college basketball (at least I thought so).  Despite trailing the whole game, Kent State tied it at 65-65 with about 18 seconds left.  With 2.0 seconds on the clock, Northern Illinois hit a jumper and won.  There goes my parlay.

I know a lot of people don't do parlays, and I haven't been too successful at it yet, but when you're broke and get get 20-100x odds while also moving the line it can be advantageous.  Gonna give it a go tomorrow and see if I can start the month off with a big win.

Was counting on a push in yesterday's Michigan game when this guy hits a half court three to tie it with 1 second left. Then he hits another three in overtime to win it. That was crazy!!!!

I was on the good side of a bad break last night for St.Mary backers.

USD down 15 & at the line for 1:1 w/24 seconds to go on +10.5 number.  Hits both, decided not to foul which should have ended the game barring a 10-sec backcourt violation but after Gaels broke the press they were stripped from behind while attempting to dribble out the clock.  Worse yet was that the Toreros advanced upcourt by passing the ball to a wide open big who was en-route to a meaningless layup but when he mishandled the would-be assist, he pulled it out and kicked it to the tenacious midget PG who picked the pocket of the St Mary's goofball and was trailing for an inevitable Bad-Beat trey from about 4ft behind the arc.

Never has this type of chain of events ever ended with this "but he missed the shot" & last night was no exception...he buried in the bottom of the net for a 10pt Gael win.

Had worst bad-beat of all time on March 10 last year.  Holding a 3-team, $1k parlay needing only Miss Valley St -2.5 in title game of SWAC in order to cash $6k at the window ($5k net winnings). But then what had happened was...

With 8:00 left in 2nd half, MVSU led Texas Southern 55-35 and game well in hand.  It hurts to even narrate so I'll just paste the last 3 plays from ESPN's gamecast...you can fill in the other 7:58 of game happenings on your own...
TIME

8:00

0:02

0:01

0:00

SCORE

35-55

MVSU made Free Throw.

66-71

MVSU missed Free Throw.

66-71

Omar Strong made Three Point Jumper.

69-71
