#4 Posted: 12/10/2011 10:47:59 AM go to your local coin shop. Buy only .99% coins like american eagles or canadian maples. If you don't want to pay the $3 markup buy quarters 1964 or earlier in bulk but never buy proofs. |

#5 Posted: 12/15/2011 10:57:58 PM I bought a silver ETF that goes under the symbol SLV. It is a fund that tracks the price of silver. Much easier to buy and sell than the physical silver. I do it myself on Scottrade. |

#9 Posted: 12/28/2011 2:55:08 PM Silver futures below 27.
If the commodity bubble pops, silver could be back to the teens and it wouldnt shock me at all.
So much for 100 to 200 that some were hyping. |

The dollar hasnt been devaluing lately, in fact it has been firming.
It is a wager against where Europe/China etc are relative to where we are economically.
Silver is also pumped due to speculation aside from the USD, which is why it has been dropping even when the USD is flat. |

#14 Posted: 1/2/2012 4:52:55 AM Right now everyone and the mailman is "on" the US dollar (it has safe heaven status)...
But even if the metals show weakness vs a stronger dollar, its not set in stone and things can turn around...
1 sure way to POP the metals imo is when the US raise interest rates... (maybe mid 2013 according to Ben)...
Gold will lose 30% of its value and stay there for a long period of time...
But bring on QE3 and its lights out on the dollar!!!
