You get dealt 7 cards and you have to make a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand.  Your 5-card hand must be better than your 2-card hand (can't have AA in your small hand and QQ in your 5-card).  You need to beat both the dealer's hands to win.  If you split 1 to 1, it's a push.  If the dealer beats you with both, you lose.  If you need help, the dealer will help you put your hands the right way.

The best advice you will ever recieve.   NEVER play the bonus.  Look for a table that has people who are new to the game or just dont know when to split pairs and say BANK.

Good luck finding people that don't know how to play, most of these players are Asians who play about 20 hours a day, apparently don't have jobs, and are broke person. It is a vicious cycle for these degenerates.

Why do that?

You are only trying to beat the dealer not the other players

You put a separate bet out there for the bonus, and if you get trips or better using any combination of your 7 cards you get paid on it regardless of whther you win the hand or not.

I must be confused.  I did not even know there was a 'bank' in Pai Gow.

Wow man if you dont know all the rules to the game why are you dishing out advice?  And really bad advice like play the bounus.   If you say "Bank" in Pai Gow you become the dealer and you are now playing against everyone else at the table.  You cant do it every hand and all casinos have different rules so ask. (normally the option to bank just goes around the table) Two most important things IMO

If your the player pay your commission up front like in a sports bet.  Bet 105 to win 100

Bank as much as possible.

Pai Gow is the one game where the rules are different at every casino.  This game is for people that 5 bucks a hand while they rack up free drinks, or complete degenerates that want to double up their whole bankroll on one hand.

Not only that, but the game is retarded.  Just have the dealer play your cards like he would his.  No skill in a game dominated by pathetic Asian bums.

No skill is right for this game, the Asians will bet certain spots because they are lucky, then they will bet against certain spots and pay 5% juice, if they think that spot is unlucky. Well , of course every deal is independent of all previous deals, as the cards are shuffeld, then sorted, then the dice are shaken, and the banker picks a # where the action starts. In fact, this game may be the most random of any table game. Yet Asians will swear that a spot can't win, or will win.

I have never been at a table of PaiGow with people who don't know how to play, usually I am the only white guy.  The game is stacked in houses favor (like all casino games) but I enjoy it because it's a slower pace then other casino games.

You can play the bank, but you have to cover every bet on the table ($500 per player) could be about $4k if you get a table that just doesn't want you banking.  If you bank you win if your cards push.  Most of the time players will pull back bets if you bank (if you bank once in a while).

The bonus is fun to play but depends on the payout structure some places I've seen a big jackpot payout (like Caribean), most of the time your not getting paid on that bonus though.

Oh yeah when you win you pay 5% commission (I guess the game is too fair)

100% if you have AK up top and the player does as well you win the top, it's been that way in 15-15 casinos I've played in in Canada.  Same goes for the back

Yeah it's called a copycat if you have the same hand and it is considered a loss if the dealer wins one and you have a copy. At the casino in my area we don't have the option to bank. I very rarely play this game unless I want to save money while waiting for a poker table to open. It's a very slow paced game with you splitting almost every hand. Only bad part is my local casino charges .25 every hand you play so the quarters add up.
