I anyone knows the thievery of the way they run their sportsbook than this is just par for the course.

The owners of sportsbook.com should be in a max sec. prison.

Don't know anything about sportsbook.com but maybe they are ex government employees.

Just hands being played out that defied probability and then the same people winning over and over on perfect call after perfect call never wagering in their mastery.
Scary.
Then when I said, so and so seems to be be able to lose today, they vanish from the table in three hands. No comment. No BS. Just scary.

Sounds like you're finally realizing those players were actually "bots" from that host site to keep all money within the site and thus rarely have to pay out to actual human players. This is just the tip of the iceberg of online poker. If you don't think it's fixed, keep playing for next five years online and then reassess your bankroll and overall life.

Its like that for Canadian players too?  I figured Americans were the only ones getting taken advantage of.  I ask because I know people actually move to Canada to continue playing online.

I wouldn't know the current status for Canadian players online. I haven't played since 2004 when paradise poker was the gold standard. Since then live brick and mortar casinos have been more legit and profitable in the long run due to the weekend moneymaker effect. Everyone wanted to play live on weekends and in Niagara falls there's not a better 2/5 NL hold em game anywhere.

Only thing I can say regarding online poker is I hear less and less of the new kids stories of their online successes, as they are all flooding the live games now. They probably realized online poker was a scam too and now stick to live poker. Up until a year ago you couldn't sit at a table without hearing some kid go on a rant of how much more money he would be making if he was playing online right now, because the games at Niagara falls are extremely slow as the dealers generally don't give a darn because they share all their tips with everyone, so there's no reason why they would bust their fools to deal more than ten-fifteen hands an hour

Online poker tourneys like the Sunday millions or whatever similar are weekly  lotteries where someone has to win it, but the cash games I'm sure are still more fixed than a first round dolgopolov tennis match

This is really amazing. Has to be the ultimate as far as hooked on gambling. Read blogs on people moving to different places just to keep playing rigged online poker. Really is hard to believe.

If I was an online pro with sponsorships, I'd move to Europe instead of Canada. Better events more often like the EPT and associated side cash games. Plus you have all the online freedom you'd ever want.
But yeah it's true, I know several players from the states that are renting places in Toronto month by month just waiting out the black Monday to settle, plus Toronto has some of the biggest live cash games underground you'll ever find anywhere. 25/50 or 100/200 NL Holdem is quite common among the mafia run games, but the rake will make most sane people puke.

I won a couple online tournaments and placed in the money on many others. problem for me is when I get in the money on a real long tournament that it take six or seven hours just too get in the final table. six hours in 40 people left and were all in the money with 1 or 2 hours left to play. I feel so burnt out that I feel like not playing anymore that day. I'm pretty sure i'm in the final table if I just hold on another hour. I've actually been there and dumped my chips on purpose just because I didn't feel like hanging in there any longer. how many people quit just because they feel burnt out. how can a person over come this.

I play with two other guys,we switch off when one of us is losing focus.

In response to the above comments regarding fixed on line poker sites I have this to add. If you can make money playing poker than you should be able to tell when calls are being made on a frequent basis that 1)should be made unless the player is a drunken idiot and 2)damned if drunken idiot is a lucky winner far more often than chance would allow. Once you smell that situation, once you see that you are not winning as much as your past history dictates you should, GET OUT. It is isn't paranoia to suspect some of these sites as being crooked because so many of them have been since on line poker hit the big time. Personally I'm waiting for it to become legal online and monitored by a goverment agency (I might have to wait a long time) because I am sick of the bullshit.

Online is not rigged at all. Anybody who says that is not being honest with themselves or they just suck. I play on Bovada (old Bodog) and have never had a problem cashing out.

Just dont get it, do you? The winning is temporary. The software is programmed to eventually take back that profit. Somebody moving overseas will realize this sooner or later. Sad.

Online sportbook poker rooms use to be a gold mine a few years back, but ONLY during football season. It was sports betters just screwing around while they were on there to make there football bets. However, now, it is shady. I have never played on 5dimes tables, but sportsbook.com tables were screaming superuser. bodog (now bovoda) tables are OK though.
