Was there labor day weekend for week 1 of college football last year.....booked the weekend after labor day this time around so I can watch CFB Saturday and the NFL Sunday. Not too concerned about the crowds at the sportsbook.....don't mind watching the games at a bar etc. But was wondering how Vegas typically is after a busy long weekend like labor day.....fairly slow? I'm a blackjack player as well so hoping the tables aren't too packed.

Rookie Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 501 Location: Florida	#4 Posted: 6/6/2012 8:04:18 PM Midweek after Labor Day,it's kinda slow but picks right up again Friday..Just speaking from experience every year at the Rio.,I always fly in on LDay and out on Tues or Wed the next week. Yes the ESPNZONE at NYNY has been closed for some time.You may want to look into Lagasee's (sp?) in the Palazzo but I'm sure like anywhere else on Sunday you want to be there by 9am for seats.All depends on the atmosphere you're looking for,if you like the yelling,screaming packed book then plenty of places for you...Myself the older I get.am liking the back bar at the Gold Coast..all the games and just some Fantasy Football guys in my league also in town for the weekend..place is pretty quiet..Then I move over to the Rio sportsbook bar for the late games.. Everybody and thier brother seems to recommend the Hilton book,but I've never been on an NFL Sunday..Have a good trip man. 3 months and counting

They are staying at the MGM, I am staying at the Cosmo. I think I will fly in on Friday and am leaving Tuesday after the show.
