#5 Posted: 5/4/2012 3:00:04 PM Just a few thoughts on the games I plan on playing. Will post the lines later, as I want to see lineups before I actually play them. Hate it when someone sits for no reason and I wasn't aware. With that said.....
DBacks
Mets are 4-7 vs LH and looking deeper you see some interesting things. They lost to Rodriguez & Happ last series in Hou. They beat Moyer and lost to Pomeranz in that crazy game (18-9) in Col where they only had 2 runs (1ER) in 4 IP vs Pomeranz. They beat Buehrle but he only gave up 2 runs in 7 IP. Lost to Bumgarner and Zito vs Giants. Lost to Hamels & beat Lee. Scored 3 on Lee in 1st and only 1 the next 6. Lost to Detwiler vs Nats and pounded Minor in 3rd game of year. So even though they are 4-7, they hit a lot worse than that record. Miley has been un-hittable in his 2 starts, while Gee usually gives up a couple of runs, if not more |

Is Jake Peavy back? It sure looks like it. In his last 4 starts he has given up 13 hits and 4ER in 31+ IP with 28 K's. He's already faced the Tigers and gave up 2ER on 2 hits with 8 K's. The Sox are only 2-5 vs LH, but I'll roll the dice with Peavy to continue his torrid start. |

I like Alvarez. You know what you're getting with him. 6/7 IP 1-3 ER. With the way the Angels are hitting I'll say 7 IP 2 ER. The Angels haven't won in Sanatana's last 9 starts. They haven't even scored in his last 4. Aside from sweeping a terrible Twins team, the Angels have been playing poorly, to say the least. |
