I probably shouldn't quote one of your posts because that could mean we're in for another marathon thread but...
Not quite sure it matters that they were the same team. The 2008 Patriots were said to possibly be the best team of all time. And this 2012 offense is considered one of the top ones as well. Lets not forget the teams the Giants beat in both playoff series leading to their Championships. And the Giants set a record this postseason for beating teams that had the most regular season wins of all time (51 wins combined between the Falcons, Packers, 49ers and Patriots in the regular season).
Pretty damn impressive if you ask me. Especially how Eli played in these games. And he wasn't just the Superbowl MVP because he's the quarterback. He was the MVP because he was nearly flawless. |
