Amadeus  (1984)

the story of Mozart's struggles against the Austrian Royal Court's music elites, and esp Court Composer Antonio Salieri, trying to protect their positions. even IF you DON'T like classical music, it a GREAT movie. IF you DO like classical. it's FANTASTIC.

WON Best Picture AND Best Actor (F. Murray Abraham as Antonio Salieri)

definately worth watching and/or recording

btw, hopefully TCM screens the 2002 R-rated "Director's Cut" with 20 minutes of restored footage. much like in Apocalypse Now Redux, the added footage clears up questions in the original.
