i prefer verifiable actions to words I have no heroes in the Democratic Party. Neither party practices what they preach but one preaches better ideology than the other and has better mental capacity.
Democrats preach about the importance of environmentalism, international solidarity, social intelligence, sociology, social tolerance, and social justice. You ever hear Obama preach. He sounds like he can save the world. D’s are inept at falling through with those beliefs. It comes down to who sells the best ideological fairytale.
If democrats weren’t inept at governing, and inept at economic and business acumen, they would have an even bigger following than they do right now. It’s not what democrats do, it’s what ideology they preach about and claim to stand for.
The only thing republicans preach about while campaigning that I agree with is fiscal conservatism and economic and business acumen. I’ve listened to the republicans preach their view of a perfect world and it makes me sick to even think about it.
I know what the Republican Party stands for and what they are trying to sell me. I’m not buying it. They hide behind politics but I clearly see what they stand for. I know the democrats are selling people false promises and selling half-hearted lies but I can stomach their fairytale.

Could you expound on "international solidarity". I think we capitulate too much to foreign govt. and believe that we should totally withdrawal from the UN, IMF, World Bank, NATO, NAFTA, GATT etc. Not to mention cut aid to most countries. At least the ones that want us dead IE N. Korea.
I think all of these international organizations compromise U.S. sovereignty. Look at the president saying that he is going to war in Libya for the legitimacy of the UN. That is treason any way you cut it. When our leaders cease caring about American best interests to prop up an international government system I think we have serious problems.
Any thoughts? |

Rick I'm curious, how can you be anti-war and anti-diplomacy? What is your foreign policy? Rain boots, bubble wrap and headphones? |

Any thoughts? When I think of international solidarity, I think of the idea of everybody in the world working together in harmony. I do believe the US needs to cut foreign aid. If you’re implying that the US should become a lone wolf and alienate the rest of the world I say that’s a bad idea.
The US has pissed off enough people already. Let those countries turn their aggression towards the US towards their own governments and create their own revolution. The only people who should be controlling the president are the citizen’s of this country.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. The GOP is for big government. The thing is that GOPs are for a different version of big government and for spending trillions on their agendas.
Could you elaborate on the use of that quote?

#42 Posted: 5/11/2012 5:21:07 PM Let's be clear. IMF, UN, and the World bank have done more damage in the developing world than AIDS, starvation and tainted water combined.
I think that these world govts. mean well, at first, then the usually suspects of greed and poor morality come into play.
Can anyone give me a good reason for giving money to N. Korea?
Here is an aid summary |
