You cannot do it. Pick one because it's one or the other boys.

No way - forget it. Get it completely out of your mind because it is impossible. will provide reasons.

...Concenttration, appetite and focus shot to all hell with the losses wins losses wins.

I'd much rather be large an in charge make 10 bucks a weeek sitting on my fuckin behind watching baseball. NBA or some other turd fest.

There's not one serious weightlifter in here that can give me a legit argument. No.

During college hoops it actually helped me in the gym because I would go lift on saturday morning and bet the tv games and I will do way more cardio when there is something I want to watch on.

Before anything starts for sure. Middle of a workout with 500 bucks on a game and it's pretty difficult to focus.

Haven't missed a workout in years due to betting. No sport I wager starts before noon ever. Lift very early morning.

You act like its physically impossible. It takes minimal discipline.

You best change your alias from "Degenerate" with all this talk about responsibility and the likes.

You can do it. I can do it and do. Not only lift weights but I box on Tuesday and Thursday nights and do jiu jitsu on Mondays and Wednesdays. My bets go in early in the morning. Usually only 1 bet a day if I see good line value.

If your just pumping iron you can focus - all it is is picking something up and putting it down. Plus inbetween sets or exercises you can check your phone for scores. It's nothing.

The tough part is the time it takes to cap games. CFB is the only area I play seriously &, while the bulk of it is on Saturday, it takes a lot of time to cap during the week. Being on the west coast makes it a bit tougher as the games start @ 9am. Even if I'm at the gym by 9am Sat., & most of my action is later, I still find myself spending time watching the tube while I'm there.

I don't train as hard as I used to (getting old.....play more golf than anything) so it's not as much of a distraction, but I know what ricky's talking about.

I hate having money out on a bet that i can't follow while im in the gym, but i mostly cap the American games (I'm from denmark) that means i can go to the gym at like 7 pm and get home at 10 pm for then to watch american sports at 1 Am so it suits me just fine. I don't need to watch a game to follow it, a livescore is enough for me - but there is no internet in my center.

The betting is irrelevant but "following" certain teams take priority on Saturdays.  Half the time forget which bets put in but still follow certain teams and want to watch every play.
