#1 Posted: 2/1/2012 11:51:11 AM Mitt, do yourself a favor, for the rest of the campaign season steer clear of these two words: poor and corporations.
Mitt Romney said he's not focusing on the poor, he's focusing on the middle class. Doesn't that bring tears to your eyes that he would stop thinking about those Americans living in poverty so he could concentrate on those who arent?
Wow, what a guy! |

#5 Posted: 2/1/2012 5:43:53 PM What can the POTUS do to help the po besides alot more money for welfare?
Even the poor have the opportunity to go to work or start a business just like we all do.
As an able bodied citizen we have the right to work for someone else or work for ourselves. POTUS has nothing to do with that. |

#6 Posted: 2/1/2012 5:47:00 PM FOLKS WE ARE ABOUT TO HAVE AN ELECTION THAT EXEMPLYFIES THE POWER OF THE CORPORATIONS.
I've seen cable news networks and other media slam a candidate who wasn't ESTABLISHMENT. Look at what they did to Gingrich and Ron Paul.
IN OTHER WORDS, THE ESTABLISHMENT HAS BOUGHT THIS ELECTION. THEY OWN THE MEDIA, AND I MEAN THAT LITERALLY. |

You may be correct in that Newt is anti establishment but NEWT is a cheating fool and that makes him exponentially unqualified to be the POTUS.
If we elect a cheating fool then what will be next? |

Only because of inflation and high fuel prices.
High fuel prices are to blame for much of our economic woes now. Including causing the housing bubble to burst sooner...it was bound to burst sooner or later.
I don't see things getting better until fuel prices get back in check. |

so what has obama done?
he had backroom deals and straight out bought votes for obamacare, and bin laden was captured on his watch, thats it. surely you dont think he had 1 iota of leadership during the debt negotiations.

#13 Posted: 2/1/2012 8:36:59 PM Jin, I'm lumping Romney and Obama into ONE candidate. I've gone out of my way to attack Obama too. Read some more of my threads. It seems that most of you still want to play this silly idealogical game when you know that both sides are being controlled by their investors. |

#16 Posted: 2/2/2012 2:09:02 PM Welcome back cdnumbers. Once again you and the OP got his quote out of context.
He said that hes not worried about the very poor because we already have a safety net for them.
Leave it to the media and ignorant covers forum posters to continue taking his words out of context which is actually LYING |

#17 Posted: 2/2/2012 3:58:07 PM Riiight .....the ONLY reason someone has a job is good fortune or luck.
And yeah, the president has nothing to do with creating an environment where hiring can occur.

So there's no reason to bring this guy back.

as ive said a few times on here, there are a lot of jobs here in vegas, just no one wants to apply themselves.
if the choice is to stay on the govt dole for 99+ weeks and earn a modest living, or work for a little more than modest living, why wouldnt someone choose to stay on the govt dole.
theres a reason why in europe, when they cutoff the UE benefits, most people went back to work.
its the mindset that everyone deserves a 60k/yr job with no skills or education thats slowing eroding our country

I was going to guess the only one with any fleck of objectivity in the room
of course, he voted for bush twice so that is proof that he is not a one party man, and of course he criticizes both sides equally, not choosing to only go after and nitpick righties to death on anything and everything and giving all lefties a pass, all the time
