#7 Posted: 8/28/2012 11:02:53 PM like baylor... Nick Florence showed a lot of promise in the time he got to play last year for Baylor. SMU will be going with Garrett Gilbert... I know just how terrible he is first hand with his time at UT. |

#12 Posted: 9/1/2012 11:52:07 PM Keep in mind its not how many or few Baylor lost but WHO they lost.SMU has gotten better every year since they've been out of purgatory and I dont see any reason why that trend doesnt continue this year.Taking SMU and the points.Recent line changes seem to support my pick. |

From what I see the line opened at -12.5 at most books and has been betted down to -8.5 !

#18 Posted: 9/2/2012 10:53:53 AM I'm taking a shot at the under in this one. If you go by what these two teams did offensively last year the easiest thing would be to take the over but both lost a ton of fire power on offense from last year. . |

#19 Posted: 9/2/2012 11:31:17 AM Maybe the Baylor Bears have gotten inside the heads of the SMU Mustangs and the winning will continue. Sort of like Eli has gotten in the head of Brady. |

It has to do with the caliber of player being recruited and the level of competition each team faces. |

QB in the Big 12 is gone and several of the lethal receivers from last year have exited as well. If SMU's QB from last year (J.J. McDermott), who I thought was just a junior,
was under center I would be all over the Mustangs; but with that Gilbert kid
or that true freshmen taking the snaps, I would gladly lay 13.5 with Baylor. I see a couple of interceptions that will give the Bears a defensive score AND/OR great field position.
With
that said, give me Brittney Griner minus the chalk at the house for a dime Alex
Trebek. Thanks!

#25 Posted: 9/2/2012 2:38:25 PM Weird action on this game. Opened at 11(some places 15) now down to 7.5 with almost 60% on Baylor with the spread and over 60% on the ml. Maybe just the oddsmakers readjusting the line but seems fishy.A lot like the movement in the Iowa game yesterday. SMU +7.5 SMU ml GLTA |
