#26 Posted: 8/7/2012 2:09:51 PM Detroit and Cleveland will definitely go over because both teams have QBS that can move the offense against 2nd and 3rd team guys. Also NE AND NO will go over for the same reasons mentioned. Plus neither team has a defense |

#27 Posted: 8/9/2012 4:50:29 PM Philadelphia -1.5 v Pittsburgh, It's going to be an emotional start to the game because of the minute silence being held for Andy's son and hearing from all the Eagles players it seems to me they will give a crap and go play hard for their coach, That's also reflected in the line move, The line was initially Eagles -1 then went to Pittsburgh -1.5 but then went back the other way. The other reason I'm betting this is simply because the Eagles starters will be seeing more time than the Steelers starters and because Michael Vick will get to play the entire first quarter, That's a big deal imo.

#29 Posted: 8/9/2012 6:59:47 PM New England v New Orleans over 37.5, Thanks to Bill Belichick and his sneaky ways I have no clue whether Tom terrific will be starting tonight, However I have seen tape of Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer and they are more than capable of scoring 21 + points without the help of Brady. Brees looked sharp as ever on Sunday and Chase Daniel is no slouch with the ball in is hand either, So the only way I see this bet losing is by a missed fg here and there or an interception after a long time consuming drive, Lets pray we dont. My prediction for the game is either a blowout in favor of the Pats, 34-10 etc or a narrow win for the Saints 23-20 etc.
Risking £110 to win £100
I will be laying off the Broncos for tonight and also will not be betting that Ravens/Falcons under i initially liked. The 2 bets I have for tonight will be my only plays and I've already locked in my Dolphins -2.5 play vs the Bucs for tomorrow, Might place 1 or 2 other bets tomorrow night If I see something I like. |

0-2 start to the preseason, Looks like it's back to the drawing board for me. |

#32 Posted: 8/11/2012 6:21:55 PM The thing about preseason openers, as tempting as they are, is that starters play so little. Normal logic says keep your bets low or wait.

Thanks MT, I kept aside about £1000 for the preseason so although I'm 0-3 and down £440, I still have a few more bets up my sleeve.
Last year I killed it in week 1 and then fell off in week 2/3 and that in turn affected my regular season performance so I'm okay with getting my arse handed to me early on because it will toughen me up for the regular season.
I've only got 1 play today:- Indianapolis -1 v St Louis, Sell out crowd, Defensive minded coach and you have Peyton Manning 2.0 starting for 15/18 snaps, How do you not bet them here???
I expect Sam Bradford to struggle early on simply because of the crowd noise and energy throw into the mix it's the first preseason game, I also expect Kellen Clemens to struggle in the 2nd quarter for the same reasons, If he starts the 2nd that is, If Austin Davis starts that's even better because that means Davis wont play against the 3rd string defense who I think he would do well against.
I definitely expect Luck to put up a td at least for the Colts, And then whether it's Chandler Harnish or Stanton I expect at least 10 points put up between the two of them. I'm banking on the Colts to get at least 17 points and since I expect no more than 3/7 points for the Rams in the first half I'm willing to take my chances on them not scoring 14 points in the 2nd half.
I'm risking £55 to win £50

Thanks mt, Hows your week been???
It may not of been a big play but it feels so good to finally get the first win, 1-3 - £390.
I'm leaning Cowboys or maybe the over 34.5 tomorrow night. |

#36 Posted: 8/13/2012 7:24:51 PM Dallas v Oakland Over 35: There are 4 legit good QB's playing tonight, Romo/Palmer, Orton/Leinart, Leinart may not be everyone's cup of tea but he has looked good in camp and I think he realizes he may not have many more chances left to impress what with him bouncing around from club to club. Worst case scenario I see 13 points being scored in the first half, Best case scenario maybe 24. If we have to settle for 13 in the first half I still think we have a decent shot of winning the bet with Pryor looking to impress on his first start and Mcgee/Carpenter at QB in the 2nd half. Terrelle Pryor will be able to move the ball on the 3rd string Cowboys defense and Mcgee/Carpenter will be battling it out for the 3rd QB spot so the Cowboys wont just look to run the ball and abandon the passing game, I see a good chance for points to be scored in the 2nd half.
