i looked on this site but didnt find a clear answer, but i might have missed it. even searched online but i would rather get advise from people actually using the sites.

im knew to trading so wont be putting a ton of money in my account at first, due to that i would like a place with low fees. a forum and trading info (charts and the latest info) would be nice, but if not im sure i could find it online.

thanks guys

I like having a local office, commish rates are low, they have a decent website and all the products you need.

Going with ET or Ameritrade or an online broker you do not have a local in case you have questions or want to make a deposit/WD etc etc.

I agree with Wallstreet.... Scottrade offers a good online format and having the local offices is convenient.

Don't go to Tradeking if you plan on using a margin account.  Every stock I like is non marginable while others have it at a higher margin rate which makes a really big difference.  And I don't mean penny stocks either.  I don't trade garbage but I do take on somewhat thinly trades names.
