#2 Posted: 12/8/2011 11:18:03 AM Illinois for me here. Illinois is 7th , yes SEVENTH, in the nation in total defense. They give up just over 291 yards of offense per game. Their rush defense yields only 121 yards a game, which matches up well against the UCLA run game. In their six straight losses at the end of the year, they gave up an average of only 22 points a game, and that included games with Wisconsin, Michigan, and Penn State. Now, if they can just figure out a way to score against that soft UCLA defense...
Illinois - 2 1/2
This is my last bet of the season. It's been great being on the board. Good luck to you all and I hope that 2012 has lots of good things in store for each of you. |

#5 Posted: 12/14/2011 2:00:03 PM Illinois defense is stout but I think this team gave up in its last game to Minnesota. Too many heart breakers and the offense just went in the absolute toilet from last year. UCLA at least showed up at Oregon in the last game. I don't know why anyone would bet this because they might have to watch it but the lean is UCLA.
Illini scored 66 points in their last 6 games total. They hung that on Michigan in one game last year.

#8 Posted: 12/16/2011 9:24:09 PM UCLA proved their underdog power to cover bigtime vs. Oregon.
Also a home game for UCLA, since tons of Bruins live in the Bay Area and they'll be at home for the holidays showing up at AT&T park in SF.
UCLA wins this one outright. |

#10 Posted: 12/18/2011 10:44:39 PM Guys...if I can help... You do know that the players at Illinois wanted not to accept a bowl invitation, right? they were split pretty much across the locker room and the AD stepped in and said hell yes you will play for my money.
UCLA will win this game. |

#11 Posted: 12/25/2011 9:44:35 PM Illinois looked good first 6 games of the season against shitty competition. Then set the record for the only team in NCAA history to start 6-0 and finish 6-6. That leading to Ron Zook being fired.
I agree with greeneyeddevils
