Guilty..Or a Plea deal, either way that guy is going to jail !

Here's why..  the case is in Florida and televised around the world, after the Casey Anthony verdict. ( which by the way, I predicted that she would be found Not guilty on the first two charges ). ...Any selected jury will not forget the hosility against the Anthony jurors when she was found Not Guilty on the first 4 charges, and walked.  Not to mention the racial component of the jury.

A plea deal result makes more sense in this case. Zimmerman will not want to risk his life after he is made to understand the risks involved. Furthermore,  imo, the prosecution will be lenient with their demands.

No matter what the outcome, the media has done considerable damage to contemporary race relations.

It appears very hypocritical to me that the ones who exhort (rightfully) an end to racial discord, are the very ones who sow it.

Much needless animosity could have been spared had the media reported a case of vigilantism and not purposively ignited an uncalled-for racial disharmony.

Duke Lacrosse.

Déjà vu all over again.

I don't even think this even makes it to trial.

I will be shocked if Zimmerman makes a plea. I think the government is in a position where they can't offer any type of plea that Zimmerman would accept (i.e. no jail time), and I think Zimmerman wants a trial. Government will have a hard time getting a conviction given the lack of witnesses and the stringent burden of proof that they have.

the prosecutor hasn't been real quick to release all this strong evidence supporting the charges in this case.

i also like how this "conservative" politician has a public records attorney and a spokesperson on the payroll yet both ignore requests for public records and statements about why they won't release public records.

No crime = no jail time

If TM were in jail as he should have been and ultimately would have been, this mess could have been averted.

Perhaps a one time protégé of Attorney General Holder.

simple because the prosecutor can't prove he committed a crime. They can't even prove who started the altercation.

IMO, juries are fickle, and easily swayed by public opinion.

I’m not sure if Zimmerman’s attorneys would want a trial.

Public perception appears to be that the deceased was innocent and the accused, guilty.

I see in store windows tee shirts saying “justice for Tayon” and “I am Tayon.”

Can you imagine the pressure and threats any lone jury dissenter would face?
