Last year I made a pledge with myself to bet on any team where the ESPN game day crew was.

I went 9-1 ATS

I noticed this the year before and using the nationalchamps.net website I went back to 2008 and what I suspected was indeed comfirmed.

What I mean by espn game days is I checked what happened when the ESPN Gameday crew was at a school

What I found out was mind boggling to say the least.

The schools that were featured by lee corso and crew won ATS at over an 80% clip.

Will this continue?

I dont know, but so far it has been a winning formula.

I suspect that teams for some reason get really pumped up when gameday is there.

Anyone else notice this phenomenon?

Your numbers are wrong.  Fsu, wvu, USC, Stanford all lost and didn't cover last year.   And Oregon pushed or didn't cover depending on the line.   Take away neutral games this stat is .500 or so.   Auburn didn't cover vs bama either.

Yes, the Away teams get just as fired up for these games.

Bama didn't cover against LSU.  Not sure what Bama's record is when the Gameday crew is in Tuscaloosa, but I know it's horrendous.
