Covers Rehab Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 60701 Location: United Kingdom	#1 Posted: 12/31/2011 2:01:22 PM Gents, Is it really worth it to purchase anything mac (i.e, iphone, ipod, mac book, etc) versus other brands? I've always been a loyal Sony customers since day one. Sony seems to be making most of the products that I like or they at least have a variety of products in competition with other companies. Should I make a conversion to Mac/Apple? They are so popular these years that make me think twice about purchasing another electronic item. Thanks! Opinions appreciated.

But don't let someone tell you that macs don't get viruses or pc's get way too many viruses and break down. You just have to get a good pc not a dell or hp.. When you buy an imac you're paying for the label kind of like sony which is also overpriced. Look at asus', acers, and msi's

From my experience, people will say they think a Mac is better because that's what they heard and because they bought and used a $300 bottom of the barrel windows box they got from Best Buy filled with bloatware. For some reason, people ignore they cheaped out on the Windows box while spending a premium on an Apple product. Marketing geniuses, those Apple folks.

I've never bought one but owned almost every kind of PC laptop you can think of and always liked Apple laptops. The only reason I didn't buy a MacBook a year ago was lack of USB3. The Iphone is alright, I prefer the Android phone just because there's a huge selection of them and you can get a fancier screen. The Ipad is just a silly, overpriced toy.
