#27 Posted: 9/26/2011 5:12:33 AM The #1 movie of the weekend was the rescreening of an early 90’s cartoon in it's 2nd week.

#29 Posted: 9/26/2011 8:15:19 AM Disney movies will always do good. The reason Lion King did so well was parents were able to take their kids to a movie they loved when they were young. Then you got the Disney factor which they always kill at the box office and limiting it to a two week run guaranteed good numbers. Moneyball making 20+ million is a very good weekend.

A Disney movie did well because parents took their kids to see it? Disney movies traditionally do well at the box office?
The hell you say.

NJ, with all due respect, and plenty from myself to you, they did plenty as a direct result of B.Beane with about 48-54 million a yr payroll when about 25 teams in MLB yr spent more..... worked the farm system, made some decent drafts, and traded for a few free agents for next to nothing and were very competitive and messed with a lot of 170-210 million a yr payroll teams.....
no, I dont give a garbage if Brad Pitt is in the movie.... Ill watch t when it hits netflix.... I rarely go to even 2 flicks a year in a theatre. Just how I roll.

#44 Posted: 1/15/2012 7:34:22 PM I enjoyed it, decent flick. It is not going to be exactly what happened in real life, so taking that into account it was pretty entertaining. |
