#2 Posted: 5/25/2012 1:21:16 PM Let's be honest...David Stern will not let the 76ers with no stars (when compared to BOS), win and go to the Eastern Conference Finals. It's no secret the team that is more marketable and with the larger fan base will go to the next round because they will generate more interest, and more interest equals more money.
The NBA is David Stern's cash cow. I learned this the hard way when I was a young kid desperately rooting for the Kings to beat the Lakers in the 2002 Western Conference Finals. But David Stern knew that the Lakers would draw more viewers in the Finals so he put the fix in.
So now, it's time for me to cash in on these situations. BOS -5.5
Let's get it done Stern!

#3 Posted: 5/25/2012 5:02:31 PM I respectfully disagree with you tirepressure. The NBA is the owners cash cow and Stern is just their employee. They went on strike not just to pay the players less but to change the system that allows a few teams the superstars and the long runs of championships. Notice the owners would not allow Paul to go to the Lakers, they claimed it wasn't in the best interest of New Orleans but that is bullshit. Stern has new marching orders from all of the owners that are losing money, make the league so that the Oklahoma City's and the other smaller franchises stand a chance at a title or two. That said Boston at home only -5.5? I like it. |

#6 Posted: 5/25/2012 10:44:26 PM Celtics -5.5. 76ers put up a fight in the first half and the old timers of Boston put it away in the 2nd half

#9 Posted: 5/26/2012 3:39:43 PM Before I start I want to fully disclose that I am a die hard 76ers fan who placed a signifigant wager on the 76ers to win the series before it started and my opinion should probably be taken with a grain of salt... With that said and out of the way there is no one and I mean no one picking the 76ers to win this game tonight. There are a few picking the game to be close, but the overall consensus is Boston will kill Philly tonight. All the money is coming in real hot and heavy on Boston.. Strange thing though, this line has not moved, and in my experience when the action is this one sided and there is no line movement, that usually means people jumping on that one side are usually in trouble. It's almost as if they are making it too easy to pick Boston here??? Always remember Vegas ain't in the business of losing money??? |
