Why it does sound like alot giving up two first and two seconds they are late round picks and a PG is vital to run this team now that the tri angle is gone. I think it is a great move! They are trying to win another before Kobe is done. Kobe handled the ball to much last year. Now he can just play SG and not PG and SG!

Who is Nash going to guard against OKC?  I agree that he brings the Lakers offense to another level but do they have to play zone D to survive?

Lakers never had a defensive point guard, ever. It is a huge upgrade and a total different style for them and Kobe. Honestly, who would be available for 4 draft picks (who will most likely be late 1st and 2nd rounders) that can guard someone like westbrook or any of the elite point guards.

While correct about them and their lack of defensive PG, how do they stop OKC was the question?  They have a defensive minded coach but how do 2 bigs (skilled but lumbering), world, and 2 36+ year olds keep up with OKC?  Granted Kobe can will his way to a stop at time but nash is worst defensive player in league.

Yes, the Lakers offense is tough to deal with but someone please talk about how they stop a guard oriented offense?

For the Lakers to stop a run and gun team, they would need a complete overhaul. Why? 4/5 of their starters dont really get back on defense. Kobe, Artest, Gasol and Bynum dont get back in transition. This will always be a weakness no matter what point guard we get. With that said, Nash has two 7 footers to cover him if he gets blown by. Lakers have always been hurt by quick point guards but now, at least they can make the opposing point guard work on defense.

What I want to see is the Lakers get some shooters and a young perimeter player to come off the bench to run with Nash. God forbid Artest, Kobe, Gasol and Bynum running on a fast break....

Laker offense will be fun to watch and tough to stop.
