#8 Posted: 5/10/2012 10:38:24 AM just legalize drugs and the cartel will be out of business and the governments will tax the hell out of the drugs and create new jobs. win win solution. DEA prints too much money fighting the hopeless war against drugs for this approach to gain enough steam with those who matter. |

Your acting overly sensitive. How else was he supposed to address this disgusting subject? What kind of "knowledge on the subject" is required? It is what it is.

sensitive? i have not ever been called that....
the question is asinine to begin with as all of this bullshit started in 2006 when president declared a war on the cartels. the escalating violence is a direct result of what the government 'did'. over 50,000 people have died on this war against the cartels. it is not LACK of activity that is causing it, it is PROACTIVE action that is causing it. i am not saying it is working, because it is not, but at least i am informed enough to frame the question properly and intelligently discuss it. this idiot is not.
not understanding the situation leads to useless questions like the one presented here.

#13 Posted: 5/10/2012 6:00:15 PM I'm not connecting the dots here. What exactly is our government doing that's considered "proactive action" against the cartels that's causing all this chaos? And this action is taken south of the border? Like our agents are actively intervening the drug trafficking in Mexico? Or are the actions taken here in the U.S.? Example would be more border patrol agents or better/advanced drug detection equipment. Either way I don't see how that escalates the violence in Mexico to the degree it does now.
My thought was the cartels are fighting over control of drug trafficking in Mexico amongst themselves. Like Cartel A trying to kill off Cartel B to gain bigger market share of the drug trafficking. That would explain all the madness and that is my understanding as to what is going on in Mexico. |

Money grubbing person too. It's a business seizing drug cash and all other related items of value to the tune of billions. All of the toys they play with at borders. Helicopters, infrared, hight tech everything. One big circlr jerk.
They don't give a friggin garbage about people dying in Mexico, especially the innocents that include women an children. Long as the money cow keeps on squeezing cash out.
