Just because you instigate a fight doesn't mean you can't later reasonably fear for your life. On the other hand, just because the other guy got a good punch in and broke your nose doesn't necessarily mean you were in reasonable fear for your life.
Too many people want an easy answer.
Um, you have no clue whether or not Zimmerman "instigated" a fight.
Additionally, you are deliberately lying by pretending all that happened is that Martin hit Zimmerman in the nose.
But of course you have an emotional investment in the narrative so lying to yourself is required.
