#2 Posted: 9/18/2012 1:44:39 PM Yup..
Capitalism in its current form has widened the chasm between Romneys group and the rest of us and then he categorizes as only an elitist snob would.
Romney and his pals would not have their excesses were it not for the increase in poverty..his gain is off the back of those he demeans and inaccurately categorizes.

#4 Posted: 9/18/2012 1:52:23 PM Both candidates make statements that reveal disconnects between themselves and the country the seek to govern. It's a shame that the media only takes one of them to task for any of it, though. Yes, Mr. Brooks wrote a good piece, but there are so many pieces about the current president that have never been written, that I'm inclined not to applaud. If we had a real media, we might get better people to vote for - and Brooks (a left-leaning moderate who is sometimes mmischaracterized as a conservative) is one of the better ones. |

#5 Posted: 9/18/2012 2:02:42 PM I can understand in your extemist right wing world that anyone who supported McCain, is for same sex marriage, supported Bush I and II, the Iraq and Afghan War, is labled a necon by Salon, and was offered a job by William Buckley, Jr (another left leaning moderate, right) would be considered a left-leaning moderate. |

No.
The rest is just whining.

#11 Posted: 9/18/2012 9:16:13 PM In 1987, during Ronald Reagan’s second term, 62 percent of Republicans
believed that the government has a responsibility to help those who
can’t help themselves. Now, according to the Pew Research Center, only
40 percent of Republicans believe that.
========== Um, so?
Note the attack of the irrelevant strawman there.
Brooks "nails it" alright...

#13 Posted: 9/18/2012 9:18:19 PM On Fox News Tuesday, the Republican presidential nominee hit the
president for a recently uncovered clip in which he says he “actually
likes redistribution.” Romney also defended his comments about 47% of Americans who he says will vote for Obama

Yes, such a "gaffe"

I am shocked by the fact that in 5334 posts, you don't have one criticizing any action or statement by Romney or another Republican.
I really am shocked by this.
I really am. |

Of course you are. Because what you're saying is categorically false.
But hey, don't let that stop the narrative.

What we have here is a “failure to communicate”
Some men you just can’t reach.
Capitalism is NOT A ZERO-SUM GAME. |

I guess our definition of free market capitalism are not the same.
We do not have a capitalistic economy..not remotely close. |
