#1 Posted: 5/14/2012 10:34:17 PM Bode at 2-1 and IHA at 5/2 according to Watchmaker. I don't see that at all. Bode 6/5.

You mean in real life, you can't pick every horse to win, then just bump the winning ticket and make money? |

#9 Posted: 5/16/2012 1:09:45 AM I know you pride yourself on picking 7/5 shots in 4 horse fields, but for me and most real bettors, it looks like an absolute garbage chalk race...and if you don't like Bode just pick IHA, CC, WTDW, or DNB. Those 5 are a lock for the exacta, near lock for the trifecta, and a very strong bet for the superfecta. The new shooters are way too slow and ridiculously outclassed.
Here I'll toss em all quick for you:
Cozzeti - Romped by Bode in Ark Derby, Loss to Prospective in TB Derby. Romans wanted to run the horse in Peter Pan, but owners had Triple Crown fever. Probably belongs on turf.
Zetterholm - Rushed into the race big time. Better off running against state breds in NY.
Teeth of the Dog - Maiden winner beaten by Gemologist and Alpha in the Wood. I think by now we can all agree that race was trash.
Optimizer - Has he finished the Derby yet??
Tiger Walk - Behind Teeth of the Dog in the Wood. Moving on...
Pretension - 9th to Done Talking in the Illinois Derby....next....
Guyana Star Dweej - I don't even have words to describe this one.
See how easy it is to handicap a race without making 16 threads about it and still not making up your mind?
Trifecta Key:
Bode/IHA Bode/IHA/CC Bode/IHA/CC/WTDW/DNB
If you want to be foolish enough to toss classy lone speed play
IHA CC IHA CC WDTW DNB IHA CC WTDW DNB
Cheap and probably somewhat profitable since people will still play their favorite numbers and their favorite names and other illogical handicappers will make a case for every other horse in the race and press the all button and give away money.

#10 Posted: 5/16/2012 2:07:12 PM Thanks Johnny. WTDW might be the one, but would love to see IHA win for a chance for the Triple Crown.

#13 Posted: 5/16/2012 2:37:34 PM In pools like the Preakness you might get 60-80 bucks, who knows? Looking at the exacta probables 5-10 minutes to post should give you a good idea.

#21 Posted: 5/19/2012 8:38:04 PM On top of what? You wheel the race and made 60 cents. Add that to your 20 cents you made on the 1-5 shot. |
