With UFC heading to Calgary in July, I will hopefully get to see my first UFC event, as it's real close to my home town of Edmonton.

I was hoping to get some good advice to getting great seats. Obviously you can get some scalped/brokered tickets for extra $$.

But I also heard from a guy who saw an event in Vegas that if you join the UFC fight club, you can buy tix earlier.

also, for those who have been to events, where are the best seats? I understand if you are too far back, you miss lots of action and end up watching the screen. I'm thinking forst 10 rows

I have been to 6 events, and would not recommend ring side.  I like to sit in the first few rows of the second level.  I think it is your best bang for your buck.

Generally, it is hard to see when the fight is on the ground no matter where you are sitting.  If it is happening right in front of you, generally, the camera man is standing right in front of the action, which blocks your view.  You will probably have to watch ground action on the screen, no matter where you are sitting.

I am a fight club member.  Since I normally go to a couple of events a year, it is worth it for me.  The Calgary event will probably sell out during the fight club member window, just like the Vancouver and Toronto cards did, so I would recommend you buying a membership so you are not stuck trying to buy through a broker or stubhub at inflated prices.

I am going to be going to UFC 148 in Vegas, and the September 22 event in Toronto.
