What would our country be like if everybody was able to hide their money in offhsore accounts?

we wouldnt have a damn country, thats what.

But we are heading that way anyways, since the rich arent paying what they should be paying and the rest of the people not having jobs to even be able to pay taxes, the country is falling apart.

Thank you mr rich fatcat for being a model citizen in our society

They believe every person should be able to help themselves and if they cant, then too bad. I am not going that far but there are real differences in core values from one group to another..

Repubs value certain things over others, same for Dems..and same for Indies, with Indies straddling both sides a bit more as moderates might also be classified as doing.

I think most people on both sides of the aisle make generalizations towards groups they have not associated with in depth, you classify rich fatcats and republicans a certain way..other guys here look down on the poor and classify them in certain ways.

It is unfortunate that more people do not have the opportunity to experience different groups and demographics than their own..I think experiencing what others go through is a great education and could break down many walls which exist and cause damage to our society.

CD,

I won't waste my time responding to every ridiculous post you've made in this thread, especially the one where you called me an "internet troll" and typed up paragraphs of nonsensical diarrhea.

For every "rich fatcat" in this country that "cheats" the system, there are 100's of hate mongering, irrational morons like yourself that don't have the mental capacity, or education to have a logical understanding of why this country is where it is, and jealously blame the concept of "rich" people.  And that, quite frankly is why we are where we are as a country.  What happened on Wallstreet does not help, but it is the sheer laziness and ridiculous sense of entitlement of people like you that put us where we are.  This country used to be great, but it is now full of whiny, miserable souls like yourself who do nothing but point fingers and blame everyone else under the sun for their own failures and shortcomings.

Contrary to your belief, there are lot of very wealthy individuals that donate both their time and money to charity, and take care of others less fortunate than themselves.  I am not one of them yet, (at least by my standards) but I hope to one day be in the position where I have the ability to significantly make a difference in others lives from a financial perspective (I already try to do it with my time).

And when I get there, it pisses me off to no-end that I'm going to have to listen to individuals such as yourself put me down, and tell me I am not as good of a person as you because I used my motivation and intellectual capacity to succeed in life rather than expecting the government to take care of me and putting down others who made it on their own.

Why you rile me up so much, I just don't know.  My head just laughs at you, my heart actually kind of feels sorry for you, but my reflexes push my fingers to the keys on the keyboard and I can't just not respond to you

Wake, are you cheating the country and taxpayers out of money?  Then why would i be putting you down?

I really think you lack the brain power to fully understand why the country has gone downhill.

Corporate greed is destroying our country, but your to blind to see it.  Am i mad at the rich people who make it and pay their fair share without trying to cheat, no i dont. By the fatcats using the loopholes to get out of paying their share toward the running of the country, its causes the average person to have to pay more for the running of our great country, but i guess you dont have a problem with that.  Sorry that i dont want to help pay for fatcats planes.

Also what friggin entitlement am i seeking? I have probably worked harder in 1 years time then you worked your whole miserable life.

And as far as charity and helping people, you are way outclassed their my friend and i would bet every dime i have on that. So beofe you call somebody out personally, learn who that person is. None of my posts about fatcats screwing this country was aimed at you, unless you are an aspiring fatcat, who thinks its okay to pay less so the little guy has to pay more.

And heres a newsflash for you, i have no failures and shortcomings in my life. I have done quite well in my life and that was due to working hard at many jobs from an early age, so stick your entitlment crap where the sun dont shine you internet troll.

So if you one day become a millionaire or even billionaire and do it without stepping on the little guy, i will be the first in line to salute you

Remember Wake, i put down others who cheat to make it, so thats a huge difference then what you talk about.

It appears you consider all the people who make and become wealthy are your heroes, even if they hurt the little guy getting there.

Also all these wealthy people who you say donate lots of money, yeah thats awesome, but did they hurt the little guy earning that money?  So does that make these people saints, if they used cheated money to help others.

Guys like you just want to make money, no matter who gets hurt in the process

Wall,

your right about the differnt group thing, but we both know few rich people want to go experience what the lower class go thru.  Am sure the lower class would love to taste what the rich have, that they probably will never have unless they hit the lotto or a long lost rich relative dies and leaves them a fortune.

Most rich money in the country is passed on from generation to generation. This in itself is a huge advantage over the little guy who doesnt have that behind them.

CD,

This is the statement I responded to.  Your problem is you spout off so much crap, and you just never even bother to re-read it.  That statement is not "putting down others who cheat to make it."  That is putting down a segment of the population based on a non-defined level of wealth.

And you did attack me personally, in multiple posts.  You referred to me as an "internet troll" (I assume the definition of that for you is someone who disagrees with you) and incorrectly as a "selfish jerk" amongst other things.

Your posts spin around in circles, and are extremely contradictory.  The only constants are you look down on rich people and personally attack anyone who calls you out on your irrational statements.

In my post, I mentioned nothing about whether or not you contributed to charity, I simply made the statement that plenty of rich people give both their time and money, and genuinely care about others.  The fact that you somehow turned that around into a pissing contest between you and me about who "outclasses" who in terms of how charitable they are shows you seem to have some interpersonal issues as well.  Quite frankly, it is pretty consistent with your putting down of "rich people" because you are not one.

And in terms of who "worked harder" I will also not engage you in your childish confrontational manner in regards to that.  Seriously, how old are you?  You remind me of how I used to react to discussions and arguments when I was 6 years old. I will make the statement that you have not worked harder in one year than I have worked in my life. Not even close.

And for someone who has no failures or shortcomings in your life, you seem to spend a ton of time angrily ranting and raving about the same misinformed crap month after month on this site, (probably years at this point).  There is a whole world out there CD.  Go out and see it...enjoy life and stop being so bitter.

Wake, these rich people that you talk about who give their money away to charity. Did they get that money fairly or did they cheat the system and basically are giving away what they were supoosed to pay in the first place.

Next up you have no idea how much money i have, so really stop thinking am some fee loader because i despise scumbags who step all over the little guy to earn their money. If you dont see a problem with that, then thats your friggin problem.

Why dont you bash the guys who are on here daily cheering the rich cheats on?  Nope you would rather bash the guy who trys to defend the little guy. You know what that shows me, if you should ever become rich, ylou will just be another phony.

As far as being jealous of rich people, thats downright comical. I have all i will ever need in life, in fact more then most. I have a bunch of friends who are well off, but they didnt cheat the system to get there either.

and yes i will keep looking down on guys like romney who cheats the system and causes the average joe to pay more.  Maybe someday when you get out of highschool you will grasp that.

Wake, you are right about one thing thou and that is iam very bitter, because when i see people losing their jobs and having to have the govt help them, because there are no jobs in the country due to the corporations and fatcats being greedy pigs and gaming the system, then your damn right am pissed off. These people dont even care that they are destroying this great country, just as long as they can buy one more leer jet to impress their buddies.  They just dont care what they leave behind, very sad

Heres a perfect example, Buffett donates a lot of money away, but the money he donates away, did he get it hustling the system in the first place.

In other words, you give me 100 bucks and i turn around and donate it away.  I look like a great guy for the donation, but the money wasnt mine to begin with.

Wake you really think the people on wallstreet have wrecked our country?

I admit I misunderstood you before CD about who you support but the rich hate is still crazy. Hate the system. This can be put in whatever semantics you like but if something is allowed and benefits a person will they do it? Emphatically yes! Moral, and I don't think playing by the rules is not moral, or not it's human nature to take care of yourself. If you're one of the very few who truly only cares for others then I applaud you CD. For me at least my hierarchy is my family, myself, and then charity. So I don't expect you to change, you're pretty dug in it seems,  but the game is the game I don't get why you hate the players. I know I keep saying it's broken and don't offer a solution but honestly I don't know if there is one. I am running out of hope when it comes to someone fixing this before it's too far gone.
Glad you guys mentioned Buffet. Cause this is a perfect example of the system. What an unbelievable hypocrite; guy has issue with the system. Even says the famous "I pay less tax then my secretary" line. So why doesn't he just pay more? No one forces him to take the deductions or structure his income in a way to take advantage of loopholes! If he hates it so much he should just take it all in salary, claim no deductions and pay a flat 35 on everything. He doesn't. So a guy who strongly opposes the system still takes advantage of it? The system is not changing any time soon.
