I like the over (70)  in this game based on two huge matchups:

Tech's 9th in the nation pass offense vs. A&M's 120th ranked pass defense, and

A&M's 15th ranked rushing offense vs. Tech's 117th ranked rush defense.

Also, in their last two games (when each team has played decent competition), these teams are averaging a combined 70 points a game. However, the matchups weren't so one-sided in those games as they are in this game. With the exception of A&M scoring 29 against Oklahoma State, these teams have scored over 35 points each in every game this year. They scored 72 against each other last year, when both teams had much better defenses than they have this year.

Combined so far this year, these teams average over 1,000 yards a game on offense and give up over 800 yards a game defensively.

The weather, one of the few things in my mind that could mess up the over, is supposed to be good in Lubbock on Saturday - only a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms.

Best of luck, everyone.

I am backing A&M here after fading them the last two weeks. Thanks to their second half collapse I won both weeks, but I expect them to win at the half and game here.

Best money maker on the board this week! Take Texas A&M the first half! They can't find their behind with both hands in the second half!

tech barely beat a marginal nevada team at home 35-34...i think the aggies are pissed...i also believe sherman will make adjustments to that porous secondary.

Tech is no ok st nor is it Ark on Offense or Defense.  those two teams are top 15 if not top 10.  tech is barely top 50.

if tech had a crabtree along with the intimidiation of playing in the texas wasteland called lubbock on a satruday night and A&M had won both those games, i could see potential upset.   A&M will be focussed, pissed, and they will execute like the top 10 team that they were to start the season.

honestly, i would caution anyone from taking the first half.  if 2008 was any indication, tech had crabtree against my longhorns and their D was pumped up.   tech's D will be pumped up and that emotion may help them keep this close for a while.  my perspective is contrarian.  A&M knows they have collapsed in the second half 2 weeks in a row against great teams.  they are going to go out of their way to make sure that does not happen again.

i could have got this line at A&M -6 on Sunday, but I waited and now it is -8.5...

I still like the aggies to cover for the game...Hook em' Aggies!

if everyone thinks that the ag 1st half is the play... shouldn't tech 2nd half also be the play!

A&M pass yards allowed are pretty inflated imo they've played 2 great and 1 solid pass offense and they've played from ahead every game. A&M -8.5.  The under scares me b/c i think A&M scores +50 a lot of the time...

the thing is that although tech isn't as good as they are used to, they still have a pretty good passing game. will the aggies be able to stop them the 2nd half? My gut tells me the ags are the play, but i will sit this one out.

Taking the under here fellas.  I know both teams can put up points, Tech at home for sure but they aren't them same team they were 2-3 years ago.  They only scored 10 points in the first half vs Texas State at home in their opener!?  The Ags gagged away two games in a row and are not gonna be happy coming to Lubbock.  This being the last time they play in Lubbock, their D stops Tech's weak O and they control the ball.  Not to mention the weather is calling for rain all weekend in Lubbock. That'll slow down both offenses the way I see it.  Give me the under that high number in this one.

Under 71.5

GL to all!!

Like Aggies here...on the road is scary but they should be able to move the ball fluidly on the ground and air...just gotta hope the D does the job

Aggies 1H is the play....then we can expect the usual A&M let down in the 2H.  Tech with the backdoor cover.
