Newt was the clear winner Wednesday night ....

Santorum looked like a high school debater vs. Romney was too polished and prepared for Rick ...it also looked like there is some kind of unholy alliance going on ,,as Mitt and Dr.Paul took turns in a tag-team throwing the Rickster to the mat ..

Santorum will see poll fallout ... he's definitely fourth man out after last nights debate ...he essentially shrugged when challenged about No Child Left Behind. ..and laughed like a giddy teenager when Ron Paul called him a "Fake".......

Ron Paul was effective as Romney surrogate tonight..and got points with his economic argument against nation building, and underscoring the importance of gaining Congressional approval for war...although Romney out debated Santorum ..it was Paul that cause the most damage to Rick..

All in all Santorum showed, that he could not handle front runner status ...so he will be slidding down to where he is more comfortable ...

Newt looked like an elder statesman during the infighting and his measured responses were brilliant...

Please tell me you are joking. Newt is very intelligent. He is also very much a swine. As such the Israelis will not like him.

bowl, if you're are looking for the perfect, legitimate candidate or the candidate without serious flaws, you won't find him/her.  the republican party should have a guy like newt who is at least intelligent, well spoken, can cater enough t the religious/famity value nuts but knows that's just a sideshow to round up those sheep, understands the issues and can call out the rest of these scumbags with some credibility.  newt is the closets they have, but unfortunately he fails the legitimate candidate and credibility parts.

Sorry CD.

I don't think most conservatives can look past his extra marital skeletons. At least I hope so.

Infidelity, to me is one of the worst things you can do as a person. I hold that a couple of notches under murder. If you can't keep a marraige promise, what promise can you keep?

Surely, I understand people fall out of love all the time...I get that. But, when that happens you file for divorce immediatly. You don't keep playing games.

I like Ron Paul more and more but he isn't electable right now. I've personally seen what Mitt Romney can do from what he did for the Olympics.

Utah winter Olympics was 10 million in debt and getting worse before he came in and cleaned house. He made the Olympics profitable and cleaned up the image. I don't believe he gets enough credit for his role in that. He has to be a great leader.

As for his flip flopping...we all do that. We all change our mind on certain things. Nothing wrong with that...in fact it shows that he has an open mind.

i agree, infideltiy is bad.  but it's not a dealbreaker for me unless the candidate is also catering to the family values/sanctity of marriage crowd.  but all the politicians have their flaws.  you just have to pick the one with the flaws you can live with.  or just not vote, i guess.  anyway, newt is about 75% of a great candidate.  but the 25% takes him out.

since adultery is such a big issue for you, have you seen the movie client 9?

------------
what if all the people who say he isnt electable believe he is electable

does that make him electable?

RP has lost the 88 and 08 presidential bids...both long shots. he has never lost any other general election

Willard is 5 for 22 in elections. Newt was thrown out of the House because of ethics scandals and Santorum lost by 17 points as an incumbent in 06...an unheard of number

I have not....where can I find the cliff notes?'

I believe that Mittens is as intelligent as Newt, however, Mittens appears to have more common sense.

Willard is 5 for 22 in elections.

Huckabee screwed Mittens in 2008 by staying in the race deliberately to allow McCain to get the needed delegates to win the nomination. I don't think he would have beaten Obama. I think he may have had a better showing than McCain did. I think Mittens has the best chance of all the GOP hopefuls to knock Obama off his throne...I think Mittens worst problem is that many people have misconceptions regarding Mormonism.

Investors Business Daily agree's Gingrich looking Churchcillian in political comeback ..

Leadership: A great debater. Politically polarizing. Prone to great error, but also prone to spectacular success. Steeped in history. Politically brilliant. Unorthodox. Audacious.

All these qualities were once used to describe Winston Churchill. Today, you might use the same words to describe Newt Gingrich..

Since the left would rather talk about movies and TV shows than the topic...

Anyone looking foward to watching PBS two-part, four-hour documentary on the former president, titled: "Clinton"  ?

I'm not ..because.. Monica Lewinsky who played such a huge role in the story of Bill Clinton's presidency was not interviewed for the documentary...

Inquiring minds want to know a few things ..............

I watched the majority of that the other night. IMO Hilary is happy....It seemed like she allowed Bill to do what he did and never seemed overly upset.

I think they had the marriage that Newt desperately wanted.
