Slob,

You're making a real fool of yourself in these forums with your perpetual claims that online sites are rigged etc.

Listen, you can rig any site just like you can rig any live game. Can sites be rigged in an easier manner? Of course.

But here's the key after the UB scandal. THESE SITES HAVE TOO MUCH TOO LOSE! Some of these sites have 10,000 tables going at once, collecting a rake off every single one with little to no overhead expenses. You couldn't even fit 10,000 poker tables on a baseball field, football field, basketball court, and soccer field combined...nevermind the # of dealers, chips, pit-bosses, cards, shufflers etc...

The bottom line is, online games can be trusted (for the most part) now and you are pretty much assured of a fair shake at lower stakes.

All that being said, playing live is more entertaining and is to your advantage for the most part because other players can't load your hand histories or know how often you bluff a turn card. Then again, you can't know that about them either so it's all about who the information is beneficial too.

Well bad beat now has two definitions:

1. The traditional definition - this is of varying degrees but usually it is  when you are way ahead, you get your opponent to call your all-in or have him/her bluff an all-in, and they spike a miracle card, typically on the river, to scoop the pot.

That is not the way I used it in the OP.

2. The bad beat jackpot definition - No matter who is ahead, after the river, if the result is quads over quads or better, casinos will pay out what they termed a Bad Beat Jackpot, regardless of how the cards were played.

I was using definition number 2.

I actually found Robl's instant misery after the hand to be quite enjoyable.

I have only seen Robl on a couple of shows but cant see how he ever wins.  He was horrible on the big game and almost made me like Tony G

I don't know why a lot of people here dislike Robl.

He's awkward for sure but is very respectful at the tables.

Is he a nit? Yes. But I'll give you a dozen other pros who are as well.

And what Tony G did to him on the Big Game was a disgrace. Robl sat down and he just started railing on him for folding too much. Gimmee a break.
