Also the protection candidates get is nothing near what a President gets.
Ron Paul, just does this stuff to grandstand and nothing else. Had he really been a contender, we would for sure be hearing more of his racist views, so its a good thing hes just a pretender.
I see both sides to this issue. I agree with the threat to presidential candidates and I agree with the amount of money wasted that it needs to be stopped.

I thought Ron Paul was a little racist and a little loopy after doing some research on him I found that he has really good reasons behind all of his views. Many of the things he says are taken out of context. If you look at the big picture, he is trying to present. You will see he is actually the brightest out of all the candidates running for office.

Ron Paul is the only hope for America, he will lose, and America will go even further into the point of no return.

Every candidate is for a idiocracy-policed-state except Ron Paul and nobody seems to care.

No estimate on how much the agents’ travel is costing US taxpayers, or how Malia got to Mexico and what this will cost our grandsons/daughters ..

But,at least the Secret Service doesn't have to worry about Malia being kidnapped by the drug cartels or other criminal organizations..Since her father is supplying them with AK-47-type assault rifles..

didnt know a person cant make a mistake and that you right wingers are Gods gift to mankind.
With that said, i still believe all candidates running for the highest office should get secret service protection unil they drop out or lose the election.
Some of you will look for anything to complain about. Lot more waste happening that you should be concerned about.
You might need some meds, because one minute you seem like a decent person, then the next your flipping out because a person made a mistake on what ron paul said.

i respect your opinion on the issue

putting words in someones mouth is reprehensible

admitting mistakes can be difficult

I noticed Democrats don’t like Ron Paul.

I noticed Republicans don’t like Ron Paul.

I noticed Ron Paul supporters don’t like Democrats or Republicans.

That sounds like the best candidate available to piss off everyone.

the man provides his own healthcare coverage, he returns the unused portion of hi office budget EVERY year, nd he also refuses to participate in the very lucrative congressional pension plan

Would have been funny if they called it mushroom cloud soup.

There is a ton of garbage that the taxpayer foots the bill for.

I am sorry, but everyone who has qualified for secret service protection is rich enough (personally) to afford a security detail.

Not only that but their campaign money is more than sufficient to cover it.

I think that the only candidate with a target on his back is Ron Paul, have you heard what he has said about The heavy hitters?
FED
CIA
FBI
DHS

I would say these people are more likely to kill him than a lunatic.

the odds of a lone loony gunman hanging out in dealey plaza is ridiculous. there are larger agendas at play if anyone has anything against Dr Paul or feels threatened by him

war is big business for those who profit from it...bomb makers and bankers.
