Who would have known that the USA does not have regulation against this toxic food coloring additive?

Parents that have poor eating habits tend to feed that garbage to their children constantly.

Snacks are fine but there's a tremendous market in this country for that stimulant/sugar craving. Apple tree fall applies.

FDA requires all products containing FD&C Yellow No. 5 to identify it on their labels so that consumers who are sensitive to the dye can avoid it. On medicine labels, this certified color additive is also identified by its uncertified name, "tartrazine."

Is this new news, or are we scouring through things we learned in the 80's?

My mantra these days is only to eat food. Not all the other bullshit that comprises the Standard Western Diet. Drink water, eat meat, fruit, veggies, and nuts. It's pretty simple. People need to learn to think about what it is that they are fueling their body with, one would think that it would be a top priority, being the most important aspect to ones survival.

Of course, the government is no help. Safe to say, the government is the problem here, so why would anyone expect them to be the solution. Have you ever seen the Food Pyramid? An outsider looking at our system, could surmise that the government wants to inflict harm on the citizenry, by suggesting the food pyramid as a guidline of what a human diet should look like. Then they use policy and monetary influence to inflict further damage (corn/soy subsidies, regulations,  land loans etc.)
