as a handicapper I could give a darn about Paterno other than evaluating the new coaching staff however we'll play along....

I'm not sure why people talk about all the good paterno did...he was a football coach no better than any other...do we have any stats on the players that came out of the program....some have criminal records or have no job or contribution to society...the low percentage of players that made it to the NFL would have made it anyway in most cases via another school..maybe some of those RB busts would have been better playing elsewhere..did he have any more influence than teachers or others (most are already whatever they're going to be well before 18)..no he had no more influence on any lives than any other coach or teacher, other than he failed in his most important chance to step up beyond doing the minimum possible and actually influence the outcome of many lives...and no he won't rest in peace, he'll just rot in the dirt, or hell if there is one

that loser was no representation of penn state, though listening to espn, you would think he was a student and represents our student body and alumni.  that kid had no chance of getting into penn state at birth.  he is some loser who hangs around to get on tv.

in michigan there are walmart wolverines. he is that.

even if you think for some reason the statue should stay, it should not based on the bs that surrounds it now

Especially when the last post in this thread, prior to his post, was 9 days earlier.

Badlands, one of my fav cappers btw..who knows ALL sports .Well said..look at the house Paterno lived in.He spent more of his own money on the library than he did on himself.I think he was just so damn old and really just didnt get it.60 million dollars is enough.U are gonna penalize the current team, the student body,fans..its all b.s.I cant imagine if this happened to Auburn...Id be heartbroken. Its like ppl want to blame Paterno more than the MILEMONSTER..he wont ever see a free day again.I think thats paying the debt. Why didnt the victims parents speak up.Somebody had to know.Paterno was an honorable man who ran one of the cleanest programs ever..All I can say is life aint fair sometimes. To think Sandusky s wife is gonna get a retirement pension chk and Joe s wife isnt is a damn outrage..Yes,he couldve done more but old dude just didnt get it.Taking his wins away is just absurd.PennST wont be the same until 20 s if that bc of 1 ssick child molester..60 million was plenty..the other is just BS.
