#1 Posted: 12/26/2012 11:07:24 PM NOT if they continue to remove games. Tonight I wanted to pick New Orleans, but because the consensus a-holes all picked Orlando, I'm unable to make that pick. It's the fourth time in the last 10 days that I have been screwed. If you want to remove the consensus team, fine, but the other one should still be available to pick. P.S. Yes, I know Tuppy already won $100,000, BUT that was before they started removing games. You see they never thought anyone would ever get to 25, and when someone did, they were going to make changes, so that it would be more difficult to accomplish. Also you can check the other posts about this same subject, they all feel the same way as I do!

#6 Posted: 1/25/2013 5:23:20 PM BOTH Detroit and Tampa Bay (NHL) are both around 55% yet the games are not even listed, so the consensus rule shouldn't even be in affect, yet it is. Can someone at Covers please address this problem we are all dealing with, so that all of the complainers like myself can stop Thank you G.M.Frank |

#10 Posted: 1/25/2013 9:53:15 PM EVEN when the games become available I can't get it right, took under in the Min/Det game, they didn't score any goals in the 1st period and scored 6 goals in the 2nd,Det scored two in the last minute at 55 and 13 seconds left. Of course my other choice was over in the Ott/TB game, where 6 goals were also scored in the 2nd period ......... WTF ! |

#12 Posted: 1/26/2013 5:23:33 PM Sometimes you can get the pick in on the MATCHUP page instead of under MAKE PICK. |

Thanks, will try that, hopefully it works, cause as you can tell I have no patience, don't like traffic lights, slow pitcher in baseball or someone with 12 items in the 10 items or less line at the supermarket...... lol |

#15 Posted: 1/27/2013 3:58:13 PM I personally think all the games that has available odds should be available for picks regardless of the consensus... If you can pick them in your league contest, why not survivor?... Streak of 25 is hard as is. |

#16 Posted: 1/27/2013 4:32:43 PM I'm curious, where are you getting the idea that an unavailable pick is related to the consensus? The rules clearly state "Money line sports (Baseball and Hockey) games with a heavy favorite (ML greater than -130) will not be available for selection." They are basing all of the sports available to pick on this ML rule, and yes, all sports have a money line. It's just that with some sports the spread is more popular. Take basketball for instance:

#17 Posted: 1/28/2013 11:15:19 PM Megan or Bob or what ever the hell your name is, obviously you don't pick everyday like I do.When you click submit, a disclaimer page pops up when your pick is not accepted that states "Due to the consensus for this game, we can not accept your pick" Stop and smell the shyt |

#20 Posted: 1/31/2013 8:06:58 AM Sometimes you have to keep checking back. They're constantly removing/adding games. I remember making a pick and I got that Due to consensus warning but checked back later and the I was able to pick it. I guess they see if everyone is picking the heavy favorite then they remove it for a while until more people pick the underdog to balance it out. Only reason I can see. Doesn't really matter to me, though, as I have yet to get beyond 5! LOL! |

#24 Posted: 2/6/2013 8:24:03 PM Have run across same problem. It is annoying, after capping a game coming up with what u like and finding its off the streak board, even more if it was there earlier.I have got to 9 twice 10 once and my best 13.I did not get cap or hoodie but was in the ole divorce thing and did not have a stable address for almost a year,i tried to have items sent to a friends home but never got them. Can't blame covers though,as really do not know what happened.I have seen 5 get to 20 since i began in oct 2010,one hit it one with philly-3 over rams 1st week of nfl 2011,all others missed on 21.I believe u r correct, tuppy hit 21,not 25.He also got paid.I also am in agreement with a buck thirty ml bein to low, buck fifty would seem fairer.I also like to pick every day,but it severly cuts chances in my opinion. But if ur hot ,ur hot.Have noticed the last few that got close did not pick daily.Best of luck to you |
