Do what the "locals" do.............casually walk around and collect losing tickets that are left all over the race and sportsbook..........

Does anyone honestly believe that the servers know the difference between a "live ticket" and a "dead ticket"..........

....Besides, just show her how much "money you lost" on those tickets and throw her a buck...........Jack Daniels and coke, anyone???

I only go to Vegas a couple times a year, but collecting losing tickets and showing them to the waitress DOES NOT work at Mirage and/or Treasure Island.  These books give you drink "coupons" (good for that day only) and you have to present these to the waitresses before they even take your drink order.
That being said, you can pick up a drink coupon at the Mirage from bettting $2 horse bets if you tip the ticket-taking peeps. I'll usually bet a favorite to show and get $2.20 back about every other bet, so it works out for me.
Good luck!

oh yeah, at the hilton (I see it's now the LVH) they didn't care or even really look to see if you had a ticket. One of my broke buddies wasn't even playing, but they would still keep bringing him drinks since he was at least tipping them a buck or whatever.

No matter how much you tip your not going to get Jack Daniels, you will get a well brand.  If you want upper shelf buy it.

Bellagio, my friend..........

The same booze that goes to the "big boys" in the poker room can also go to you.............just be intelligent about it....the service bar for the sportsbook also services the poker room.....

Why is this so difficult?

If you need a drink bet $2 on a horse and get a drink and a bet for $3 with a tip and that is not even required but enguaraged if you want good service.  Or go to the books that dont require tickets.  Nothing is free in this world.  Its only free after you pay for it one way or another.
