98% will have Green Bay. The other 2% won't because they used them last week.

I usually don't like playing the popular picks because they go down more than you think but I already picked Green Bay in my pool and haven't thought twice about it. Not sure if they'll cover but they aren't losing SU in their home opener to the Bills.

Yes the popular picks do lose more than you think .  Remember last year I think Week 2 Phily wnet out to Oakland as a 14.5 favorite and everyone had them in their suicide pick and they lost.

There are many more examples........i like to pick a not as heavy favorite to avoid the above from happening.  This week I like Atlanta for my suicide pick

i never pick road teams if i can help it in survivor pools. lots of people went out on SD in week 1. You never know on the road in the NFL. I'm playing it safe (I think) and taking GB

Coming from someone who went 17-0 in a suicide pool 4 years ago; the key is to not picking the teams who are heavy favorites. Pick your spots and be skimpy. Look vor value every week and use teams such as the Packers this week as a last resort. You don't want to be stuck having to pick the Rams in week 17.

That being said, I'll be going with the Raiders this week even though I think Atlanta rolls.

Do not worry about looking ahead and  saving teams for your picks .  It is all about advancing one week at a time.

It does you zero good to save Green Bay , Saints, whoever for Weeks 17 and 17 if you are knocked out of the pool now does it ?

I disagree. I have won this pool twice in 5 years
I dont look too far aheadm but it pays to look ahead because you also have to play the match ups a little and know the teams you have left who is coming up on their schedule.
I am playing GB at home week 4 when Lions come to GB

I am saving GB, I hate Dallas but they should win this game at home and I feel better getting them out of the road.

I agree plan ahead but a division game at home alway harder to win then a non-divisional foe esp when they both suck!! always go with the non-divisional foe ... hence take the packers this week!!

GREEN BAY WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Its all about "STAYING IN THE BOAT" week to week. Don't save anyone for nothing. If Green Bay is the best team this week. Play em'

Good Luck to you
