Love Oklahoma St with all my heart, but they wouldn't have had a chance against either of these teams.

lol no, they claim anything. They finished 20 in the AP in 1940 and 3rd in the SEC and lost their bowl game then claimed a title.

Really- well 9's more than LSU's three but LSU has a good chance again next year.

I agree.  If Mettenberger lives up to his potential, I think they are the team to beat next season.

Jimmy-

Congrat's buddy-

Hope he does but if not the did sign the #1 college QB in the nation. I heard Mettenberger looked great in practice but they were scared to "throw" him to the wolves against Oregon and went with experiance. Once they won that game there was no going to Mettenberger. Don't think it would have made a difference tonight. Bama was too strong, too physical, and surprisingly to me- too fast.

They are only quoting the BCS championships I believe... I am too drunk to actually research it right now, but the NC foundations do give us the 14, BCS, not as much.

Oh... LSU is gonna be TOUGH next season... I can only hope and pray that some leadership from returning players, mixed in with excellent recruiting over these past few seasons, including a possible #1 recruiting class this season will give us a shot. I have high hopes though...

I've heard good things about Mettenberger, and yes, picking up Gunner Kiel is a huge get for your Tigers.  They should be set at that position for a few years.

Yeah, I don't think any QB would have made much of a difference tonight.

We'll have to see who will be leaving to the NFL and who will be coming back, but either way Alabama will most likely be replacing almost their entire defensive unit.  They will still have a ton of talent, but experience in Saban's defense is huge, and they won't have a lot of it.  Plus Bama will have to come to Baton Rouge next season.  I would have to give LSU the advantage right now.

Great season blowout!!!

Do you not like the NFL? Haven't seen you around those forums-

Again enjoy the win- Bama was the better team and is a deserving National Champion!
