#1 Posted: 5/14/2012 11:32:40 PM Awesome game, Awesome Garden atmosphere(as always) and what can you say about the King outplaying the old man. Section 104 was rocking tonight baby, so much so that I have to resort to texting now after losing my voice from so many "Marty, Marty, Marty!" chants...
Was a bit of a nail biter the first 2 periods, but man 3rd period the boys turned it on and never looked back. Rangers are definitely faster than the devils as I watched Ryan McDonagh chase down Kovi on a breakaway, catch him and disrupt his shot. Devils controlled the play at times but no way are they going to get through all the shot blockers and the King to score from those outside areas. Still can't believe peeps on this forum were actually comparing the Rangers to the Panthers and heaven forbid the Flyers when it came to matching up against the Devils.
I lost my over bet but darn it, was definitely worth the coin to see the devils shutdown tonight.
Can't wait til game 2. night all

#6 Posted: 5/15/2012 12:13:09 AM faster, younger, and goal tending edge. first 2 series were sweat jobs, but this young group learned a ton. tho its 1 game, all confidence they win this series. the steamrolled the devils in the money period. devils played well for 2 periods, but this is a far cry from the panthers and flyers. |

#8 Posted: 5/15/2012 12:35:35 AM Great Game, let's have a Rangers and Kings Final, Rangers remind me of the Bruins last year when they won the cup.... they have alot of grit and have played alot of games so far in the playoffs but it doesn't seem to be slowing them down.

#13 Posted: 5/15/2012 1:26:23 PM I am not a Rags fan by any means but it was amazing to watch them block all those shots and Lundqvist make some 10 bell saves. I honestly thought after a scoreless first that the team who scored first was going to win.
This Rangers team is showing a tremendous amount of commitment to stick to the system.
Congrats.
