I have had an SUV for several years and I am now looking to purchase a brand new truck.  Something like a half ton with an extended cab that is sporty.  I do not want the mack daddy dullie diesel, but something a bit smaller that is a sweet ride.  I will be using it for work and family...Any ideas on what is out there??

You'll probably get a lot of biased opinions here.  You should check out consumer reports or something similar.  I've owned two Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4s with extended cabs & liked them very much.

I know several mechanics very well, none have much good to say about Dodge.  Chevey & Ford have loyal customers & both are sound vehicles.  Toyota makes a quality ride also but is pricy as all hell. Being a person vehicle they don't break down much but when they do it'll cost you.

I like my 2011 Nissan Titan King cab with a 5 inch rancho lift and 33 pro comps  the truck is roomy and rides nice. For price I would have to say Ford.

Ford may not do everything right, but the F-150 is the best vehicle they make.

Go to their website and you can even "build your own."  There are tons of different trim options.

BTW, I work with 2 guys who have F-150's.  They both love 'em.  My brother worked for ford for 23 years....he drives one.  I have another card playing buddy who has one....is a carpenter...loves it.

I don't know anyone who has one who is unhappy with it.
