That is a great exercise but if your goal is to see definition of the abs than the only way to get there is via a eating plan.

You can do ab exercises til the cows come home but if your eating plan isn't sound than you'll never see any results.

Rizzo,,,

There are actually some pretty damn good workouts that involve your lower abs which is imo more important and ultimately proves to be...

There's one exercise that I can't remember the name of but it involves two people. One person lays with their back on the ground and the other person stands up right in front their head,,

And the person on the ground picks up their legs up as far as they can go keeping them straight the entire time while the person standing up then pushes their legs back to the ground without allowing them to hit the ground.

You can also push the legs to either side in order to work side abdominal muscles,,

That looks pretty decent...... but instead of grabbing some dude's ankles, can hang from a pullup bar and do those.

Would recommend some lower back exercises (extensions and dead lifts) in conjunction with ab work.  If the lower back is strong, will also cut down on the need for as much ab work.

Aerobic exercises help to trim fat to reveal muscles underneath.  Resistance exercises help to build muscles which increase body metabolism.

Tip. People that do abs everyday are bunk amature.

2 to 3x per week tops. If you feel your hip flexors engaging then you're doing things wrong.

Hanging leg raises.

Grab the lat pull up bar in ze middle of ze cable station.

lift your feet and legs up to a ninety degree angle using only your stomach muscles.

Try not to swing and lower them back down in a controlled motion.

look in the mirror but not for too long.

This is a tough workout if you do it the correct way and don't cheat yourself.  Only takes 8 minutes.
