#29 Posted: 3/27/2011 11:42:43 AM Just ordered a bottle of Sriracha... sounds like it is not so much hot as it is a great tasting sauce. Going to give it a try.

It does have some kick to it but not a ton. But, coming from an Asian guy, I wouldn't classify it in the same hot sauce categories as the others are talking about on here. It has a different flavor and only goes well with asian food, imo. I wouldn't put that stuff on anything mexican/tex-mex. If you really like asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese, this stuff is perfect. It has become pretty mainstream now, where you can get it at a lot of Wal-Marts and Targets depending on where you live. So if you like it, start buying there rather than ordering it.

#31 Posted: 3/27/2011 1:27:48 PM No need to order that woop... like OG said it's available at most Walmarts, Targets or the Asian sections of your local supermarket. Or any Asian market. There's a few different brands in similar looking bottles though.
Like the Tapatio, Cholula also. Also, keep an bottle of Sambal Oelek and XO sauce in the fridge also.

#34 Posted: 3/28/2011 11:07:06 PM It's kind of sad actually that you've never heard of Sriracha, it's like ketchup at any modern asian restaurant..
Nothing special at all..... It's like the equivalent of tabasco or cholula.... |

I don't eat asian food to often. I eat thai food on occasion but mostly Mexican/American food for me. I think I have seen the bottle but have never tried it. There website sells the bottles for dirt cheap.

Well after the ingredients :
Imported from Barbados. Made with Scotch Bonnet peppers, mustard, modified food starch, salt, onion, water, vinegar, tumeric, Sodium Benzoate ( Preservative). You will love this sauce! When you really need the best Colon Cleaner, your search stops here."Not for Medicinal Purposes"
Imma have to try it now ... |

#43 Posted: 4/21/2011 8:39:19 AM I toss a little franks hot sauce on things like chicken or even pasta if the sauce is plain...do it on potatoes too...nice extra kick that helps make my usually boring meals a bit tastier. Hot sauce actually helps boost your metabolism a bit.
