Smith, Bejarano, hell STEW ELLIOT ...... if Bode is the best horse on May 5th, any of those guys will get him in the winner's circle. It's all about the horse and trainer at this point, especially for a horse like Bode an up on the pace style.

Totally disagree. Look at Smarty Jones/Spectacular Bid in the Belmont. Too fast a pace will hurt even the good ones. Smith is money.

Rewatch the Belmont. That was likely Smarty's best race. He put away 5 horses who ran themselves out coming after him. |

Yes, it was a brave race by SJ, but he should never been put in that situation. He was wide and set a fast pace for 1 1/2 miles.
