That is true, but they can always find a new job if they hate their current one. However, kids are supposed to go to school, it's not like they have their choices of schools to attend and the fact that shoes are needed to persuade them to show up for ONE day is flat out crazy.
I appreciate what the Shoe store owners are doing, but this doesn't seem like something that is worth investing a million dollars for just one day. If this were something that involved only missing a few days a year, then I could see this being worthwhile. But just for one day???

As a community or society it's a collective evert or bring this child along. Is new shoes the ticket, what do I know, but we pay one way or another. Education, Incarnation, welfare, We pay.......
Got guys at my work place that have medical Insurance, Some would rather shoot dice with the 150 a month............
No INS, high blood Pressure, High cholesterol, fucked up teeth, and endless garbage. Where do they end up the emergency room, with a 20k Tab, who pays for that US.......
This is not a black of white problem, It's a class warfare problem.....
I guess the quicker we understand this as a nation the better chance we have to fix it
