Anyone suggesting Kobe is clueless and either hasn't watched this season or is living in the past. It's LeBron, and has been since about 08 give or take. Hating the guy has clouded peoples judgment and leaves them with an inability to think rationally or judge his game objectively.
On top of that, acting like he can't close is a game is maybe even more absurd. Sweet baby Jesus finally someone who gets it. Thank you sir was really starting to doubt the human race. It isnt close and really no need to have a vote this year. Anyone who doesnt vote for him hasnt watch any hoops this year. |

#103 Posted: 4/28/2012 7:21:55 PM Funny how people are all over this thread when Miami Heat smashes knicks by 33.... As soon as Miami loses 1 game in a series everyone will be like "LBJ is so awful, he sucks and he does not know what a basketball is" "LBJ chokes again"
Pathetic, LBJ is the best player to ever have lived, no matter what happened yesterday, today or what will happen tomorrow. Period.

He will go down as top 5 i think but no way better than MJ or Kobe he lacks the killer mentality. Also his game is based on athleticism once he is in his 30's that explosiveness will go. |

#111 Posted: 4/29/2012 10:59:16 PM LBJ has never had the compliment of players that Kome has...or even MJ for that matter. All this talk about D Wade's ring and the year the Heat got it done...that team did not have the holes on it that LBJ has had to deal with.
1st Hole....most champions have more than one go to guy....Bulls had Jordan and Pippen....Lakers had Kobe and Shaq....then Kobe and Gasol....D Wade had Wade and Shaq........other champions had multiple all stars on their team.....Cavs teams ..LBJ had no significant help...and folks he has only been with the Heat 1 year
2nd Hole....who is Miami's 10 rebound guy.....championship teams have a consistent banger on the boards...this is not on lBJ...this is on Pat Riley....Kobe, MJ and D Wade is not asked to get 10 boards a game...and neither should LBJ.....championship teams do not get it done unless somebody or somebodies are consistently cleaning up and controlling the glass.....the Heat do not take care of the glass....they have not filled this void
Now as far as LBJ not being the guy on the Heat
This year...he leads the Heat in pts, rebs, assts, steals, FG%, efficiency and plays and guards multiple positions.....YES, D Wade should have the ball late in games....but that's b/c he has the best step through split the double team move off the dribble move in NBA history....the players were talking about that in a documentary I saw over the summer....that is not a knock on LBJ...that is just a plus for D Wade....also, it is not unusual for other players to close it other than the team's leading scorer (See Vinnie Microwave Johnson...with the Detroit Piston bad boys)....Pistons had Isiah Thomas and Mark Aguirre...solid scorers...but during closing time....Vinnie Johnson got the ball.
Finally, what other player in the league leads their team in pts, rebs, assts, steals and FG% and efficiency....answer Noone.
LBJ is clearly the best player in the NBA and this year's MVP |

#112 Posted: 5/2/2012 8:54:07 PM I'll bump this thread after the playoffs...
Just a reminder; acting like LeBron is a "choker" because he had 2 bad series in his NBA career is retarded. If we are using sole series' as a projection for a players career or for what he's done throughout it, we can call a lot of players chokers (including Bird, Magic, Kobe). Not sure anyone would agree.
LeBron had arguably the best playoff run, individually, in 09. At 21, he was also the owner of one of the greatest playoff performances of all-time.
Last year he closed out two series, one with Wade playing like an absolute bum.
People who can't admit it, likely will never because they let their emotions and hate for the dude cloud their judgment of how good he is on the court.
We're talking about a player who is the most efficient scorer in the league as well as being one of the best playmakers. On top of that, he's one of the best defenders who's versatility allows him to guard 5 positions effectively. It's pretty clear cut; he's the best player in the league whether people like it or not. |

#119 Posted: 5/18/2012 3:07:44 AM wait did that dude just say all the great 1s had anotha superstar... wait but lebron dont lmfao.. When Miamis big 3 was formed u had 2 of top 3 players in league and best power forward numbers wise by far in league NO 1 and I mean No1 has ever had that talent on same team. and still to this day u have 2 of top 5 players in league and top 5 power forward. MJ had pippen but pippen was lucky he was top 30 player in league so i dont wana hear lebron dont have supportin cast, u got away with that argument in cleveland but now there are no excuses hell he basically hand picked his team. So wen it fails i dont wana hear the bullshit they have the talent to win they just dont play well 2gether and LBJ chokes under pressure BOTTOM LINE... and please if Kobe to this day had another wing player like wade to keep all the double teams and attention off him he would AVERAGE 40+ points a night.. And i hate when people talk about numbers between kobe and lebron remember lebron was starter right into league Kobe wasnt i believe until 3rd year because he wasnt ready his 1st couple years he got hardly any minutes which really hurt his career avgs. But Kobe in his prime was way more of a dominant force than lebron and scored video game numbers and had the killer instinct. For for any1 who uses well he had shaq. Kobe did everything for that team yes shaq was dominant but kobe was by far their best defender he did it all and shaq would neva have won without him. lebron will go down as 1 of the greats of course but just remember blame lebron for not giving us the matchup we always wanted and that is kobe vs lebron in nba finals. Kobe woulda took lebrons will away

#121 Posted: 5/18/2012 3:34:39 AM Kobe would not average 40 Bosh is not a top 3 player in the league Lebron didn't have supporting cast in Cleavland and was still able to get to the finals Kobe isn't clutch either Lebron actually plays defense

#125 Posted: 5/18/2012 7:26:13 AM Sure Lebron is the best player in the NBA.. but its always the case others are not good around him, when was with cavs or with heat. Hey how about giving Lebron MVP again next 5 years.
Lebron will end his career with 5 super star teams , 6 MVP awards... but you know what matters most ???? 0 TITLES.
Keep that Bron Bandwagon rolling!
Durant got robbed this year... lebron did not deserve it more than him.
