Hello Streak Nation this is SmoothD coming at you. Welcome to Summer and let's continue our torrid march towards the prize. We took yesterday off from our streak but today we're back on it and we have a nice W6 going looking for W7. They're not going to make it easy on us that for sure. I think I found a nice number we can hold our hat on. Take the Over in the St. Louis-Mets game. The Cardinals are the highest scoring team in the N.L. and have scored at least 7 runs in the last 3 out of 4 games. Even if they only score 5 runs against Santana you got to figure the Mets are good for at least 3 runs against Wainright. Take the Over and keep our Streak Alive.
Our money play for today will be the Boston Celtics minus 2 points. The Celtics played a tough hard nose game on Wednesday only to lose in OT. I expect them to come out on fire and fired up at home in this game. The Celtics don't want to go down 3-0 so look for them to play lights out tonight. Celtics for the win and let's keep this train moving!
This is SmoothD wishing you much success in your quest! |

it was clear what Stephgame was doing... waiting me out. So I played the risky game you were referring. force Stephgame to pick another game. If there was a 3rd player involved in the Streak Survivor...that would be interesting how it plays out.
so to any streak survivor players that gets into that situation.. that is what you do. |

#9235 Posted: 6/2/2012 12:18:51 AM Rays easy winner! Mets-StL Over 7 Winner plus the first No-No by a Met pitcher ever. How cool is that! I'm not a Met fan but I'm happy for Santana. In the Hate series because I hate both teams Boston wins like I knew they would. The followers on my blog are ecstatic right now. They have a W7 working, money plays are 8-2 since last Saturday. |

#9239 Posted: 6/2/2012 12:26:26 PM Booyahz-I agree with you about the run lines in the Battle Forum but I can't change it until the 1st couple of battles finishes. IIt's been a work in progress. Some people are overly sensitive and overreact to the slightest criticisms of their capping skills. People shouldn't put so much stock in what other people think about them. I will make that part of the official rules afterwards for sure. |

#9240 Posted: 6/2/2012 12:34:33 PM From my blog What's hotter than a Colombian Escort at a Secret Service Party? We are! Sat. Picks!
Greetings Streak Nation! SmoothD here as we continue this torrid pace towards Paradise. We will continue our streak by going with the Cincinnati Reds over Houston. Matt Latos is pitching for the Reds and has a good history against Houston. In his first 2 appearances against the Astoros in 2010 Latos didn't give up a single run. Even though the Astros got to him back in April of this year. I'm looking for Latos to contiune his superb pitching lately and take the Astros down and get us a W8!
For our money players we're going to just go with roll today. We're taking the Giants and Matt Cain against the Cubs! Why? Because it's Cain at home against the Cubs. Enough said. But wait there's more. The Chicago White Sox have won 9 in a row. Odds are they're going to make it 10 in a row against the Mariners. Thats right double you fun and your money. Take the Pale Hose to down the Mariners and let's party tonight.
This is SmoothD wishing you much success in your quest! |

Thanks! I'm vacillating back and forth on Chicago as well on SFTC. I have a W4 I really like the Reds tonight but with the White Sox winning 9 in a row I just think they may make it to 10. Don't know the percentage of teams that win 9 that make it to 10 but I bet it's high. Let me what I can find. |

#9246 Posted: 6/2/2012 3:30:07 PM What a wonderful world we live in. I found a site that has tracked the odds of winning streaks as they progress. http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/blog_article/the-odds-of-winning-streaks/ The odds of winning 10 games in a row after winning 9 appear to be 0%. He does state that this is limited data and breaks it down for home and away. So with that data I think I will lay off the White Sox for SFTC but I did call it on my money plays today so I will be rooting for them. Check out the blog and see the odds for home and away as the winning streak progresses. Interesting stuff. |
