#1 Posted: 3/23/2010 10:37:22 PM Come on, guys. Putting pre-season baseball in the ultimate race is dumber than putting in the Arena League. You guys should know better. It's a total guessing game.
There is no reason whatsoever that you couldn't have started the race with just the NHL, NBA and College Hoops. So what if someone picks two games in one sport for the first 2 1/2 weeks? It's better than forcing people to pick exhibition games. (maybe even give people the OPTION to select the games?)
I'm 18-9 overall and FIVE of my losses are in exhibition baseball.
Very weak.
I love you guys and Iove this site, but putting pre-season baseball in a handicapping contest it completely amateur. |

#2 Posted: 3/24/2010 8:23:34 PM I enjoy this game but preseason MLB seems to destroy one of my picks. I'm 2-5 and even have a void pick because that game was cancelled. This is March Madness and I'd like to pick two NCAAB games a day instead of just one.

#4 Posted: 3/25/2010 9:09:55 AM I truly don't get it. I know there is a way to avoid picking baseball games (wait till all the games go off and select the late games in other sports) but to me.... guys like Riz and the gentlemen who rubn this great site should honestly know better than to include exhibition games in a handicapping contest. So much action in hoops, I would much rather have two tourney picks than a meaningless baseball game that they may not even finish if its tied.
Riz? Any comments? Just curious here. |

#5 Posted: 3/25/2010 1:53:10 PM I'm stuck with preseason baseball today because that last game (Oakland/San Francisco) doesn't start until 10:05. It looks like I'm taking the Giants.

#7 Posted: 3/28/2010 12:52:08 AM KIND OF TOUGH when there is only 1 extra inning and you have to have doppler radar and metorology degree or skate on thin ice hoping it doesn't get rained out, when you don't get to make another pick when a BB games is cancelled, that pretty f'ed up. |

#9 Posted: 3/30/2010 11:07:31 PM Everyones pickin from the same games.....not like the leaders don't have to pick preseason baseball too. It will be over soon enough and we will have some regular season games to pick from!
I dont like picking preseason games either, but its a free game so I figure its cool however they set it up. Just enjoy it man.
