amateur compared to who maia has been against!! thought he would make that count esp on short notice...Maia is a friggin joke...probably best around on the floor yet waits for everyone else to take the game to the floor before he plays to his strengths!...wtf is that all about .worst tactics I've ever seen on the ufc!

Maia's had a cold all week. Sounded congested in every prefight interview. Weidman had 11 days to cut 35 pounds.

Not surprising this degenerated into what it did.

what made you believe that maia had a cold all week?

and if this is true, why didnt you post this earlier?

i didnt have a play on the fight but regardless this is info that wasnt on any of the mainstream forums.

there was a reason that maia was + money in this fight...it was for suckers..maia couldn't take weidman down if he had wanted to...and yes maia's cold was well publicized all week.

you don't know anything about MMA - don't pretend like you do. weidman is an amateur to guys who don't follow but an expert to those who do

Weidman was the odds on favorite to win this fight I think.. You have to think why he would be before you bet on Maia. Why would a so called amateur be the favorite?

100% money. If the odds opened as weidman a slight fav, i may have jumped on Maia. But when the oddsmakers put him as at 2 or 3 to 1 fav to open.... it really made me re-think.
